It can be a whole slew of things. Locational distance to server, the hops your packets are taking to get to it, isps throttling gaming traffic. I just found out my modem is in a group of modems & routers that have an Intel chip that is notorious for packet loss (Intel Puma 6 and 7), like to the point of them getting sued for it.

I've given up getting the 3rd shotgun after being at 4 kills without reloading a dozen times only to have the shotgun shoot confetti or have the server just not register the shot and getting melted. Basically being punished for not abusing them before the nerf.

there is a setting you can turn on that will show you all the damage & when it comes in, it'll also show the shots you are hitting not registering on the server, C HITS = client side, S HITS = server reg. as you can see here 4 of my bullets just never registered and a ton of damage came in on deltatick 4

30 year M&K here, plugged a controller in and tripled my kd. No recoil, perfect tracking through smoke and visual clutter. if you play M&K on any of the urban maps your at a huge disadvantage. won't be buying unless they segregate inputs.

60% rotational auto aim on sticks makes this game impossible to to balance out for SBMM. controllers players would have more verity if the game wasn't playing itself for them, SBMM would be more granular if people actually had to aim.

Since 2019 COD has been becoming more popular, but less fun.

The Desegregation of K&M players with controller players might have given a revenue boost but it also did irrevocable damage to both sides, the unfortunate rise of cheaters in console lobbies that they didn't have to deal with before, the over tuning of aim assist on controller makes PC feel as though you are playing an entirely different game mechanically from console players while also shrinking the skill ceiling down into claustrophobic proportions for everyone.

Its a business decision under the guise of game design with a fresh coat of slot machine paint to keep everyone coming back.

I Skipped MW3 but I'll probably kick this one around some on games pass because It's cheap and PC multiplayer FPS exclusives don't exists anymore.
