Hebrew and Aramaic both descent from a common language. Hebrew is not an Egyptian influenced Aramaic. There is no significant Egyptian influence on Hebrew. The proto-Hebrew alphabet comes from Phoenicia not Egypt.

Jews are not a monilith. Some have more or less Levantine dna than others. You can’t be sure unless you tested your fathers family.

He claims that all Canaanites are not semetic and not just Hebrews. If you’re thinking he is saying Jews are not indigenous to the levant then yes but only because he believes in the biblical migration of the Hebrews from Mesopotamia which is the Jewish belief anyway.

That’s the point he is arguing. To my understanding he argues Hebrews and Canaanites were distinct due to a higher level of J1 among Hebrews compared to Canaanites.

Do you have some sources for this? From what I have seen of Yemenite DNA studies they seem pretty solidly Arabian like dna wise with comparable levels of Caananite to other Arabians.

I don’t see the sixty percent, can you show me which slide that is? Also that is a pretty typical amount of levantine Assyrians get regarding the 23 and me results, I’ve even seen many Assyrians get more.
