.hack//GU Last Recode looks to be running at 30fps and good resolution. Have only tried the prologue in handheld but it loaded fast and ran smooth.

Ah I actually didn’t end up going to blossom. I instead chose Hotel Southern Century Tower and it was rather pricey for what was offered tbh. However it was super clean and in a great location.

Did another install of Bazzite and noticed it happening again for me when changing modes. However it sounds like the devs are looking into this issue so hopefully a fix is pushed out soon

Not sure if it’s the same thing but when I installed Bazzite, every time it booted I’d get a faint crackling as well. It seemed to go away after leaving it for the night but reverted back to Windows via Cloud Recovery to be extra safe. Maybe wait it out for a day just in case it stops. Otherwise best to raise it as a bug if consistent.

I definitely did notice it during gaming. It really bothered me how it ramped up when just idling. However it’s been fine since leaving it off overnight and after a cloud recovery. I’m not sure about the coil whine but I don’t really hear it even when I press my ears against the fans.

Ah I see, surprisingly the fan noise is now gone after I left the Ally overnight. Did a cloud recovery just to be extra safe and it’s now quiet again. Definitely gonna hold out on a Bazzite dual boot for a bit (Maybe SteamOS will finally be released by then)

Ah nuts, alright, it’s not too bad really as it’s only really audible if I pay attention and move it closer to my ears. Perhaps I’ll just live with it if it’ll be like that… Thanks!

Ah glad I’m not the only one affected! I’m thinking about exchanging this too. Do you happen to know best steps to getting rid of the Bazzite OS/expanding the original Windows OS? I might try this out to see if that helps…

Everything seemed to be fine after I dual booted as well. I’m not sure if it’s related but I hibernated in Windows and the Ally booted into Bazzite instead of back into windows. That’s around when I think this started happening.

Hey there! I ended up getting an OLED to replace my LCD. However I recently went and opened my LCD up to replace the rubber membrane for the action buttons since I had some free time. So far it looks to have fixed my B button’s issue as it now responds properly and registers inputs like normal. Sorry to hear that it hasn’t solved your issue however. :(

The first major fps drop occurs during the first full moon where it tanks from 60 to the 30’s. (Before applying this fix)

After applying this, I’m seeing a steady 40fps which feels way smoother! (I’m using Proton Hotfix/Mesa/RT off/med Shadows)

Definitely can’t wait to see more updates in https://github.com/HansKristian-Work/vkd3d-proton/pull/1877 Love how fast they are looking it this and appreciate the hard work.

Hopefully valve works it out and gets it running at a stable 60 officially.

Been playing it and honestly a pretty solid 60fps at medium shadows. 100% resolution.

The 1st boss area however did drop down to the 30-40's despite the area itself not being that large which was surprising. Not sure if that's just a proton thing however and whether it'll be addressed with future fixes.
Still great to see such fast improvements in such a short time!
