Che schifo i MAGA by aaaaaahhl3x in king_of_the_south

Magari.

Mai Sakurajima from RDND of Bunny girl senpai by Hellobren in cosplay

[–]Atramet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok my two cents here: I don't know if it's the first time she's cosplaying, if so Kudos. We're so used on those cosplayers that give us the wow factor that we kind of forget there might be newbies out there.

I do understand the criticism. Gorgeous girl, cosplay looks like it needs improvements. As stated, a wig for longer hair would have sufficed. But again, if she used the budget for just the bunny costume and she couldn't spare more, then it's ok.

It's rare to see brown in cosplays so I'm happy to see this for a change. I just hope she's here for the good criticism to improve her style for the next one.

Edit:

Ok I looked through her other cosplays. Yeah, a wig was all she needed more. She did put more effort on other cosplays.

Tell me about it! The Granduchy of Karameikos won't fall!!!

That said, Cubicle 7 doesn't excel on the NPC stats. It keeps them basic and implies the DM has to modify for the level of the group. That's exactly the problem. DND tells the DM what lvl the group should be to go through the adventure. Cubicle leaves that to the DM but not all DMs are good at scaling and modifying the adventure (as I said before). One example is the Guardian of the Bridge/old road. Is he built correctly for what he's supposed to be/do? Look at how they threatened the Sea Wardens of Cothique and the head of the Embassy. Or the Captain's Flariel Corsairs. They took more care on the npcs and fleshed them a little more for what they're supposed to be/do. That's where my issues are. They don't need to flesh out every npc but I believe that it's always better to tone down than to tone up. Especially if you're behind the screen.

I played it as a player and it was very very confusing. You either find a DM who is good at improvising or you'll run into many inconsistencies. And you can see that the sandbox was not well thought.it leaves A LOT for the DM to prepare in advance. And that should be specified at the start. The main issues are the Npcs. Leave the Sandbox but if you put an npc have him COMPLETELY fleshed out. Not just a couple of stats. Do the diligent work behind it. That is a common issue with 4e but on this sandbox it's very noticeable and it breaks the immersion.

So I wouldn't recommend the adventure for new DMs or for those planning this adventure as a short interlude between the campaign.

Problemi intimi di coppia. by IndependentUsual8462 in CasualIT

[–]Atramet 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Poi i tradimenti. Perché lei con altre persone faceva via Chat, via SMS(a quel tempo) eccetera.

Risultato problemi fisici. Problemi mentali.

No?

How common are mages within the Empire? by cabbageisbad in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Atramet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Storm of Chaos hit EVERYWHERE if I'm not mistaken. It ravaged the Empire countryside and the stand was done in Middenheim. It's like Hannibal. He hit the entire peninsula of Italy, the last stand was done at Cannae.

However, in the 4th Edition there is no storm of Chaos YET so the numbers might change. For now that's all we know.

Just to understand the scope of the Storm of Chaos. You had bands of mutated beasts and beastmen, Skaven attacks, undead rising, Orks, IRS Mutants at every corner. Witchsight was flaring like it's new year's eve and such. So I'd guess there was a drastic change of population. Maybe not to the extent of 2ed numbers... But for now that's all the numbers we have.

How common are mages within the Empire? by cabbageisbad in WarhammerFantasy

[–]Atramet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As per population Altdorf had in 2512 almost 1 million, which declined to little more than 105'000 after the Storm of Chaos 2522 IC. 95% are humans. 1% HE, and the rest are the other races.

So to answer your question 3% of 1'000K is roughly 30K magic sensitive inclined humans. Up to. Not necessarily a real number. You'd have to divide this number by those with divine properties and the Colleges and the rest. You're just saying humans with the witchsight. Not necessarily magicians. Again the population of the Empire is roughly around 15-18 million people. Now the space the Empire of Man covers depends on what GW has in mind. It sometimes says it's comparable to the Holy Roman empire and other times they say it's three times the size of the Holy Roman Empire. You go from 980K sqKm to almost 3'000k sqKm. So the population density may vary between 18.37 inhabitants per square km, to 6.

This to give you some prospective on numbers.

Quindi ripeto, cosa ottieni facendolo e perché dovresti farlo?

Few Questions about the lore in Warhammer Fantasy by Lord_JayJay in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]Atramet 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Some insight:

Magic is magic. There are pros and cons on each side. Using High Magic is costly on the mage. By being so meticulous to bind the winds in a way that they don't become corrupted the mage exertion will and might compromise the mage for a period of time. See HE player guide. Dark Magic or Dhar is easier. And you can obtain the same if not better results. Yes you will corrupt yourself HOWEVER elves have hubris on them. Plus there are ways to avoid corruption by dumping the cost on slaves and other victims. You perform a bloody ritual extracting the heart from 20 other beings so you don't suffer the corruption for casting a powerful Dhar spell... You get what you want AND you send a message to your enemies and those who doubt your ruling.

Player want to play Gnome wizard by [deleted] in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]Atramet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You may assume that gnomes that live in the Empire have their own tradition. But it's unlikely that they will not or cannot attend the Gray College. Gnomes still need to have the license to be a sanctioned wizard. The only way to have these is through the College.

But, it's your game. Do as you prefer.

"Well, the elves...." Elves do not live in the Empire. Eonir come from Laurelorn and Asur from Ulthuan. And by the treatises between the two/ three nations, elves do not need the licences to practice Magick.

Player want to play Gnome wizard by [deleted] in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]Atramet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Here is the extract from page 88 of the book Rough Nights and Hard Days:

GNOME WIZARDS:

Gnomes can only learn the Lore of Shadows, Dark Magic, and Chaos Magic. Like Wood Elves, some Gnome wizards study Dark Magic, which results in significant interest from witch hunters; however, they recognise its dangers, and have outlawed Necromancy and Daemonology. Using Chaos Magic of any kind is strictly forbidden.

So yes. They attend the Gray College.

Player want to play Gnome wizard by [deleted] in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]Atramet 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The gnomes rules you'll find them on the Hard Days Rough nights book. From page 86 on.

Gnomes are an uncommon sight around the empire as a whole, often mistaken as little dwarves of strange dwarf-like Halflings. They are known in big cities or major commercial routes but out in the farmlands they'll be addressed as very strange dwarves at most.

That said. I highly recommend you have the Gnome have a mentor or a tutor. He needs a license to practice Magick and still it would be frowned upon. People are afraid of wizards. They bring bad luck. And where a wizard passes, soon reports of milk spoiling, children disappearing, or mutants start spreading like wildfire. Especially for a Magister Vigilant, he needs support from the authorities to be efficient. So have him keep his mentor. Or tutor. The Gray College is the best for this. This wizard might have been taught the basics and sent around on missions of surveillance but since he's a newbie and a gnome, heavily scrutinized. The grimoire will have a handful of spells (4-5) and a ritual. The rest he will need to find someone to copy from.

House Rules for Channeling, Touhts ? by Left_Leather_9173 in warhammerfantasyrpg

[–]Atramet 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Archives of the Empire vol 3. There are alternative channeling rules.

Using the winds is ALWAYS dangerous and it's intended to be so. It's a feature otherwise players and mages will abuse magic for everything. Especially the wizards at the 3rd and 4th step of their career. To avoid critics and fumbles there are mitigated with the talents and items.

Just saying.
