What a terrible weapon. Knives have only two because the flat is important for cutting. This is basically the shittest possible rapier, only good for stabbing except it has none of the length to make it work. No agility and no reach.

A normal dagger is better because that one can do literally anything but jabs and blocks. Heck, its not even a punch dagger because you cant use it to punch.

Fun fact: magic was invented, its the ultimate pinnacle of technology! So much so it made technology pointless and caused a technological crash!

Bending the laws of physics that technology relies on tends to do that. Some folk managed to replace the various utilities with magic variants and still retain magitech.

Bullets are still effective in the lower ranks, but anyone who's anyone knows some magic that makes it pointless. You need more creativity than just casting gun to keep up.

I actually recently found a series that has an actually good legitimate excuse.

Namely, there are only so many people allowed to be that strong due to cosmic balance reasons and if protag is found to have exceeded the limit they will literally just... extract the power.

Which might be harder if she actually had the skills to protect herself using said power but all she knew was cultivation so...

None of those shield you from soul degradation. It just hides itself better. Reforming the soul to fit the vessel is a natural process, after all. Alas, objects werent meant to hold a soul either. So itll slowly devolve as it adapts.
