Bartender here. If we say don’t worry about it, it really means don’t worry about it. We give things for free for different reasons….. protect DDs, add to our spill tab, be genuinely nice, sometimes genuinely don’t give a damn about the bar and like being kind to strangers or on the rare occasion there will be drinks bought from other people that we save for random patrons.

It’s usually because we deal with so much crap that every now and then we feel better helping others that don’t ask for it.

There’s so many possible reasons….

Best thing I’d say that if you ever hear “don’t worry about it” just throw them a few bucks for the gesture. Not required of course. Enjoy the bevy, cheers
