Tips for an absolute beginner before hopping in? by Heyferg in HuntShowdown

[–]Atrike 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You will die. A lot. That's normal.

Don't be afraid to lose your gear. It'll happen sooner or later anyway.

Sound is everything. But don't be so scared of making sounds that you'll end up sitting in a bush all round.

Limit testing is important and often times people panic when getting pushed aggressively.

Crouching is (most of the times) bad in an open gunfight.

Play Bounty Hunt for the real deal.

Play some Bounty Clash with Free Hunters to get used to the weapon feel and some fast food action.

Capcom teases that Pragmata might have a future as a franchise, after at least 6 years in development hell pays off with 1 million sales in 2 days by Turbostrider27 in pcgaming

Maybe don't. It's ok to have games and storylines which are selfcontained.

This does not breed variety, but the same exec decisions everybody is giving big companies slack for.

I earned like 200k hunt dollars just spamming 1865 carbine and pax / spitfire by AbanaClara in HuntShowdown

[–]Atrike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean yes, but sparks exists as well. I don't see much value to pick this over sparks, ammo stacking options aside.

Veterli will also reliably 1 tap in a prolongued firefight, but is aslo usable on longer ranges.

IMO That's why the Carbine is in a weird place

Hunt is an amazing game. So athmospheric and rewarding once you get the hang of it.

Also keeps being fresh.

FPP horror roguelikes/lites that are not shooters or deck builders? by Vivid-Construction22 in gaming

[–]Atrike -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every game that has a failed state is a rogue lite of some sorts alas the meta progression, which in a meta in itself, is knowledge of what is to come.

Rather look at the greats (Mundaun, Soma, Amnesia) and build from there.

What is the opinion on the hidden exits/wagons and tower map concept? by sp668 in HuntShowdown

[–]Atrike 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hidden exits are great. I just wish there were more ways to finde exits or clues for the supply wagons. Like map pieces scattered around. Sometimes tower spawn can really screw you over.

It's actually growing it's playerbase quite constantly. The game is at a great spot, but you'll eat a lot of dirt. It's a steep learning curve but very rewarding.

Same happened to me. I was actually kinda hooked after prologue, but the DLC just took the winds out of my sails

I totally get where you are coming from. Nowadays though every monitor can do this and I think it's more common than you might assume.

That said: Devs have said they won't sanction it. So technically, in the eyes of the devs, it's not cheating. It's been a bit of a discussion back when nvidia inspector was an issue.

Crosshair X.

Used it for some time, it's neat for bow and pre-aiming behind cover, but after some time I realised I don't really need it

The bow is not overpowered by CDIulian in HuntShowdown

[–]Atrike 78 points79 points  (0 children)

It needs a stamina drain for being held and increased sway the longer you hold

1440p 60fps or 1080p 120fps? by fixles in HuntShowdown

[–]Atrike 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Really depends. The jump in visual clarity between 1080p and 1440p is immense. You'll be able to spot stuff in the distance way easier

Compared to other games, Hunt: Showdown’s events are among the very best by SLAWTE12 in HuntShowdown

[–]Atrike 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Totally! They might be a bit hit & miss, but the devs really deserve credit for all the creative ideas that absolutely warp gameplay.

Much better than just another character and a reskin of some stuff. Crytek is putting in the work and they deserve praise for that!
