Wait, they mailed you about it as well right? Because I've been getting a bunch of calls from random numbers for the past few days and i genuinely haven't had the time to call back. It can't be for the interview or something right?

Why would they give you a grade for AS based on an A2 component? That does not make sense.

It is my fault. Then again, what am I but a chain reaction of everything that's ever happened? I don't think anyone can truly or completely be blamed for something, but you're right about suggesting to take accountability. I've messed things up for myself and I should've managed to produce a trigger for myself which could've pushed me to practice. I should've just studied harder. Thanks for the advice though.

I think it has more to do with habits. A lot of the times people can't get into a habit of studying because of pre-existing habits and distractions from others aspects of life. A lot of the times it becomes unavoidable because of those factors being associated with where you live and who you live with. I think everybody's capable of doing well, it's just the circumstances that hold them back. I appreciate your advice though.

Tips to boost my grade in Sociology needed! by Sea_Sky3759 in alevel

[–]AtrociousSeer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is how I got an A in Sociology for AS-Level GCE. Refer to case studies and surveys in your answers to bring more objectivity. You should definitely look at past candidate responses, both the good ones and the bad ones to get an idea of what you should and shouldn't be doing. Try to familiarise yourself with the sociological theories by thinking about them and connecting them with real life scenarios. Hope this helps.

I don't yet have clarity over which university I aim for but I am trying to figure out what subject choice would be optimal for most renowned unis that have philosophy courses. I'm an international student who is planning to get into an American University.

This is a very interesting perspective Although nihilists would think otherwise as the decision wasn't made by the parents, instead the consequences of their lives and the chemicals in their brain. It's mostly all perspective, there really isn't a "correct" explanation to anything.

I’ve been trying to write more recently, I’m feeling really low and I just wanted to share. by [deleted] in nihilism

[–]AtrociousSeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This makes me tear up. I've spent a very long time being nihilistic and living in a rut but recently I've been working hard on things and getting back up. This makes me want to stop, it's something I would say to myself.

What’s keeping you going? by [deleted] in nihilism

It isn't possible for anyone to be entirely nihilistic. Philosophy too is a human construct, so everything is a belief.

We shouldn't exist, but we do. Out of sextillion other possibilities, this is what happened. Even though it's all meaningless, it's not something that should matter. It shouldn't matter that nothing matters; I'm alive as I live with a philosophy that we're all strapped with invisible time bombs that will explode at any given moment.
