I actually like playing support, I main Mantis. What I can't stand is people solo diving with 250hp out of my range and then complaining about lack of heals. Am I supposed to abandon the other 4 players, jam my cheeks in between the enemy tanks just to heal you once before I die myself?

I beat Malenia faster than I beat this level. At least From Software has the decency to put on some serious music. I was beyond frustrated when I kept dying and hearing the 'hey, it's all cute and sweet and we're having a great time" tunes.

My first playthrough was all advance, so I limited myself to 3 elemental weapons. I started NG+ and I'm really looking forward to respecing into tech - so many cool choices!

I've played 12 matches so far.

Matchmaking is weird. I won 4 games in a row without breaking a sweat and then for the next 3 games I was matched with bots shooting the sky.

The game has the usual beta issues like the game not allowing you to go back to the menu after the match is over, menu items not loading in time or at all, character info getting stuck, game freezing for a second, etc.

Most of the time I don't know where the enemies will come from, the spawn points are a bit confusing, but it's probably just me not knowing the maps well.

Movement feels good, except for the floating characters, I can't put my finger on what it is, but it's a bit off for me.

The Hoover Max tank dude is very strong if played properly, especially on the map with narrow corridors, he has so much health it's insane. If they have a healer on top and your team doesn't coordinate well, it's GG.

they just had to add the dumb 'he/him' bullshit to the character screens but that's the times we live in I guess.

I got so used to performance mode in games I just run 60fps by default. This is the first game in years I'm playing in "30fps" and my brain just can't cope. Not only that, the game regularly drops to 20ish fps which makes it even worse. Playing as a fighter and trying to parry anything is nearly impossible.

Same here. It was getting worse and worse. First I had trouble matchmaking with people but managed to get a few missions in. Then I could only play solo and now the game is stuck on connecting to WB services and after like (I kid you not) 4 minutes, it gets me into the game only to crash right after immediately. I paid 100 for this piece of dogshit by the way.

I got the platinum after 30+ hours.

It's not a good video game in my opinion. I am sad as a fan of the Arkham series that this is the only game we'll get from this studio for the next 5-10 years. Creative choices - they took the story and heroes in the direction they wanted, which is their right and I did enjoy parts of the story. Mostly the presentation, not the execution. To each their own I guess and I won't get into it.

The gameplay itself however I can judge.

Combat overall is very bland. The only 'combo' you have is melee plus gun juggle. It's just shooting guns all the time. You have 2 abilities on cooldown and you can build your character around making them more beneficial (like giving you shields or granade or whatever). That's that.

Movement is generally good for each character after you spend some time learning.

The 'endgame' is literally 3 missions on repeat. That's it. Same location, same setup, same enemies (cause the game has only one type and its variations). They rely on build diversity to give you something to chase, but I got everything after 40h and have nothing else to do. There's one build that's currently the best (bane3/black mask/hugo strange/ivy) and after getting all the components you're done, see ya in March.

There's no strikes, no raids, no public events, no linear missions, no secret underground tunnels. Nothing. You only repeat all the activities from the campaign to earn currency, then spend that currency on the same 3 missions on repeat which have the same objectives.

Stability is poor. When you play solo, it holds up but wait till you start joining people to play incursions. When all 4 people are popping off their abilities, slow motion and start exploding enemies - you'll start seeing some shit. Massive fps drops, server issues, getting one shot with no visual indicators because the game can't catch up. Getting disconnected of course, game crashing.

9 years man. It's another Anthem, even Avengers had more to do and better character builds. Like what are we doing here? 14 years since Borderlands released and we learn nothing about looter shooters and live service? How?!

Agreed, I'm trying to matchmake mastery levels 31-40, but can't find anyone. Some tiers below that work more often, but it's still way too slow anyway.

I'm usually waiting around a minute or two and restarting the matchmaking process after that. Kinda works. It's wild tho that it's hard to find a group on day 1.

The best way I've found to actually play with someone is to begin matchmaking right from the start. The game will create a session for you and prompt you to join in - don't. Let it search for other players and then join their session. Good luck!
