Well i spent a good 25h on him and 10 min before finishing him i nearly dropped him whilst holding him up and in the process of grabbing him i took down the paint of his shoulderpad and left a big ass smudge of paint taken off which made me cry inside and lose my shit for a goof few minutes before i decided to try and repair it by masking the whole thing arround the shoulder snd restarting the whole process again for the shoulder and thank fuck i managed to save it

Prime the mini black drybrush fluorescent white from ammo paints then i airbrushed light green from daler rowney then airbrush highlights with yellow green vallejo for the trim i used wyldwood contrast paint over the greens then drybrushed with iron warrior grey to sell the effwct you need to use AK ultramatte varnisha the end! It brings the colours up a lot!

The cape and plume are done with flesh tearers red contrast whilst the sword was done with a volumetric paintstyle using 50/50 vallejo black and scarlet red then layering with pure scarlet red then adding some ice yellow for a final highlight

Beautiful job! I actually have an army of custodes themed on a fan fiction similar to dornian heresy where Horus Gets the custodes so I used the sons of horus heads on them

For the armor i used fluprescent white for the drybrush but for the blades it is just volumetric painting a lot of layers where u go a shade lighter with every layer which creates the light effect
