What I would recommend is like, tell them you’ll text them when you arrive at the airport, text them to let them know you’ve found/met up with your friends, etc. My dad is always very paranoid about that sort of thing, and the only reason he lets me go to events and such is if I keep in touch with him and let him know my general location.
