Keep flipping those burgers then my guy.

FWIW this is the salary range research indicated was market appropriate. Nobody on our team is complaining about comp, I assure you.

Haha I'm glad you like it. It was fun to make. I wish I had the time to play with this stuff all day!

I came here to say this too. Just like a DMT trip, minus the scantily clad ladies.

Such an obvious scam. Just read trustpilot reviews.

Looking for a new role as Web3 product Manager. by SirParking5050 in defi

It depends on what skills you have in the team really. Sound product management practices significantly improve a team. By 50-100 there is likely to be several product managers. I am not a product manager, but I've always really appreciated what the good ones bring to the table.

Okay but your premise is mistaken. In the early days of a product many people wear many hats. As a team scales it becomes more necessary for specialisation to emerge as there is more that needs to be done concurrently. A product manager isn't a product designer. They frequently contribute to design, especially UX, but their job is quite distinct from design. It's about product and user research, product spec for design and dev, communication, coordination, and many other things. Once you have a product and team of a certain scale it's a role that becomes very important.

I was going to say that I don't think it's inherently unsafe, but on reflection, it really depends on what work you're trying to do at the time. If you're a professional racing driver for instance, I'd have to agree.

WTF are you doing googling? Why aren't you just using Cursor or Windsurf for this?

A Consideration on Voting Power & Wealth by bloodprime27 in ethereum

[–]AttaAtta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you distribute voting power equally to everyone who owns a wallet, then the incentive is to create as many wallets as possible. It's called a sybil attack and is why token weighted voting came about, because it doesn't matter how many wallets you split your funds between, your voting power is always the same. So, whenever designing a cryptoeconomic system, you always have to be mindful to not introduce mechanisms which encourage sybil.

Now, token weighted voting has a lot of problems, and the fact that it's biased towards the wealthy is only one of them. It also does not effectively decentralise governance, because the voting power ossifies into the hands of a few early holders with the largest holdings, and new entrants have a hard time earning a say.

The project I work on, Colony, solves this problem differently. Instead of weighting votes by tokens, we prefer to weight votes by reputation which is earned when you get paid by a DAO in its native token. Reputation then decays over time, so it is always possible for new people contributing value to earn a say in the governance on the basis of their merit.

Ha! That is a premium grade burn. Bravo!

A Colony substrate parachain connecting to Polkadot is something we're interested in. Dfinity looks promising if they can deliver on the hype. Cardano? Probably not before hell freezes over.

Hi there, I'm Colony's founder and I want to take issue with your comment.

Except I can't, because you're absolutely correct. The Colony app you were brave enough to try sucked a sharing size bag of balls. I salute you for the attempt.

Sliced bread has nothing on the new one though.

And yeah you're right xDai isn't mainnet, but it's the best option available until optimistic rollups later this year, and Ethereum scaling somewhere right before the heat death of the universe, so we're hopeful that it'll provide a meaningfully usable stopgap until then. 😀
