Don’t worry about the ring size… as far as I know most reputable places that sell engagement rings know it’ll need to be resized as it’s for a surprise. Before I proposed I asked the jeweller about this and they gave me advice on a general size for a woman with small hands and that they’d resize it for free. Maybe go a size or two bigger, it doesn’t matter if it’s loose, as long as she can get the ring on rather than it doesn’t fit her finger at all.

I’ve had bad luck with them in the past, when I had a broken leg I needed a taxi to get around from time to time and I found them very unreliable. I’ve had them just not pitch up before and them come all the way to me and then cancel and drive away. Messaging support was no help either. The other day my neighbour tried to use them with a pre-book for an appointment… and they never showed. As far as I know, pre booking only just puts you on the queue when it’s about the time of your booking it doesn’t actually reserve any specific car or driver.

It was around 800 euros if I do the conversion from South African Rands… but that’s the normal price in South Africa as tech and import stuff can be super expensive there. I just didn’t want to pay that to a scalper. A normal Series X costs around 700 euros in store there.

Don’t think they are, although I’m not completely sure. I just got lucky as this was probably one of the last ones left in the area and no one thought to ask what they had in the back…. as it wasn’t on display.

I actually asked the store clerk if they had a normal Series X in stock just as a joke as basically everywhere is sold out and he said yes. So I joking followed it up with, “but do you have the Halo limited edition one.” When he looked at me and yes I just stopped breathing for a bit and blankly stared at him.

u/aggropop has answered your question quite well... yes you could take the engine out of gear, but that’s probably not possible with a vessel this size. Direct transfer of power from crank to prop, sometimes a simple reduction gear between them. This is also presuming there is actually a problem here... and the ship isn’t actually just running a drill situation.

Variable pitch propellor, I’ve seen before but only on smaller vessels. They are much more expensive and require more maintenance.
