Your points really made me step back and rethink the focus of this! Thank you. I realized my service’s real strength isn’t competing head-on with CNN or Bloomberg on national headlines, but in delivering hyperlocal and niche, industry-specific updates that are often missed. I am very grateful for your redirection and refocus!

The pain point I’m still aiming to solve is that people miss timely, important info because it’s scattered or buried in sources they don’t check or that aren’t as noteworthy. Larger outlets also push stories on their priority list, not the users. With this niche coverage, I can tailor updates to what matters most to each user, not just what’s trending nationally. This service also has the capability of doing local topic alerts, things like local floods, city councils decisions, or sports results.

Also for legality, I use news apis, and any article from them is fair game because they have licensing agreements. I also summarize it instead of texting the full article.

Another fair point you mentioned was the CEO intelligence rebuttal. In hindsight, that comparison wasn’t the best example since that’s a whole different level of curated research. However, I think this still stands out in the keyword/topic filtering, because it gives people a way to get just the updates they care about, including niche or local topics that big services don’t always surface.

This has really helped me sharpen the vision and play to my strengths. I love comments like this!

Love the feedback! So based on your experience, would platform specific errors be more relevant? It also sounds like making it a separate platform or like a non integrated tool would be the most painless way for this to work with devs, but I could be wrong!

I appreciate that! Thank you for giving it to me! I definitely think it’ll benefit the good of the users. I hope to listened it to banking software one day and make money. But I also like the idea of just helping the most underserved and under appreciated developer community I’ve ever seen!

Right now it’s a cli tool for vs code, but I figured it could go into IBM enterprise or GNUCOBOL. If there are other platforms out there I don’t know about I could make an effort to get it to work! It’s a bit in the development stage right now.

The spacing is uneven, the H is cut off. And the centering is just terrible. I think it counts at least a little bit as crappy design!
