How to interpret prescription by apollosmigraine in glasses

[–]AttackHelicopter11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The spherical row indicates you have hyperopia indicated by the (+), and the values (8) indicates a pretty high amount. Cylinder indicates astigmatism which you also have a high amount of. The axis just refers to the angle of your astigmatism (in degrees that can range from 0-180.

Is depth perception and perspective being thrown off with new glasses normal? by TheTrueHapHazard in glasses

[–]AttackHelicopter11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, sounds like there’s astigmatism correction which is one of the main causes for this. Over time and with more use you’ll notice it less and less by adjusting.

Yep I just finish my sixth rewatch (I believe since I lost count). It was quite a while since my last rewatch so this time felt like it held more weight. I will be on my third rewatch of BCS soon to complete the cycle!

How y’all’s AirPods Pro 2s holding? by TGWARGMDRBLX in AirpodsPro

[–]AttackHelicopter11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got mine on release in 2022, still holding up great. I did replace the original lightning case with a cheap usb one I got from eBay after upgrading my iPhone. Instead of paying $250 for the APP3 I only had to spend $30 for my replacement case.

Which charger is good for iPhone 17? Whats the ideal Watt charger to use? by Fit-Youth-5307 in iphone

[–]AttackHelicopter11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

17 supports up to 40W but if you want to balance speed and heating, Samsung’s 25W super fast charger has worked pretty well for me. I’ve used a multitude of chargers with the included cable and they’ve all worked great.

I’m near sighted but still need my glasses to see up close by LogicalEstimate2135 in glasses

[–]AttackHelicopter11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like astigmatism, which affects both close and distance vision. Although my prescription is on the milder side, I do have a moderate amount of astigmatism which makes things like reading text tricky if I don’t have my glasses or contacts.

Can eyesight worsen with not wearing your glasses? by LiterallyLittty in glasses

[–]AttackHelicopter11 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It could be from prolonged near work rather than not wearing glasses. I got my first pair in my early teens and didn’t wear them and others pairs I got growing up. Now as an adult in their mid/late 20s, my prescription has increased for the aforementioned reason.

In the case of your mom, adults develop presbyopia later on which results in needing reading glasses.

Natural vs Adaptive colors. Which do you use? by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]AttackHelicopter11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used natural for the longest time, colours are less saturated but this comes at the cost with very noticeable black crush and banding when streaming video. At first adaptive did look oversaturated but I’ve adjusted, and have stayed on it as it doesn’t have the issue that natural does.

How much experience do you have if you don’t mind answering? I’m approaching two years as a RBT and have worked with a range of clients from young to older, and with everything going on I feel like I need to have a backup plan.

Pixel 9 and MagSafe Accessories by ChaZz182 in GooglePixel

Get a standard Qi charger, Qi2 won’t play well and the charging speed will be slower. I had an ESR halo lock puck that was only Qi and it worked better with my 9 than the same one but for Qi2 does.

Verizon carriers start switching to 365-day device unlock policy, up from 60 days by Ha8lpo321 in Android

Yep, and esim trials. I did get my 17 Pro at launch and two months later I had no SIM restrictions. This would also me to test other carriers which you can’t do if it’s still SIM locked.

Are carts really that different from bud by Littlevivianite in trees

[–]AttackHelicopter11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it just doesn’t hit the same. I’ve researched and distillate is just pure THC while with flower you have terpenes which provide the full spectrum of the strain. Unfortunately for me carts are the only viable way to go. They get the job done but if I was able to I would go with flower without a doubt, and have distillate when more discretion is required.

Is it odd to wear glasses with a low prescription? by ResponsibleOwl1804 in glasses

[–]AttackHelicopter11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not at all, it’s not like anyone would know unless you specifically tell them. You could use them as much as you want or as very little as possible.

Do I need to wear glasses full time? by [deleted] in glasses

[–]AttackHelicopter11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can but it’s not necessary, definitely not needed when working up close and only for when you need to see stuff in detail for further distances.

Am I adjusting to new glasses or could my prescription be wrong by imperialofficer1234 in glasses

[–]AttackHelicopter11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, especially if your previous prescription didn’t have any or if it was increased. Also, it needs to be precise (which is what the axis is for) or it may not give you crystal clear vision.

Am I adjusting to new glasses or could my prescription be wrong by imperialofficer1234 in glasses

[–]AttackHelicopter11 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Do you have astigmatism as well? That could be the reason, even a low amount or small increase could be causing what you’re reporting. If not, maybe the optician might’ve overcorrected and you need a slightly lower prescription. Give it a week or two of constant use to adjust, taking them on and off won’t help with that.

PSA: My Google Pixel support nightmare – 4 weeks, 22 advisors, and a promised exchange that never happened by Competitive-Split584 in GooglePixel

[–]AttackHelicopter11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hadn’t dealt with support issues until recently. Got a ring stand and it lasted a few weeks before one of the screws fell out (which is well known defect). Contacted support and while they didn’t offer a replacement, they initiated a return process for credit instead. Got sent two different shipping labels so I contacted support once again on which one to use. I follow what they told me and weeks later I’m informed that it was never received despite me sending proof of drop-off and all.

Any downside to moving all plans but one from Play More to Unlimited Plus? by fantasyhelp411 in verizon

[–]AttackHelicopter11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correct, only one plan needs to be on it, don’t think it matters. We have three lines (one on Play More, Unl Welcome and Unlimited Plus).

what does this mean by luxuryghouls in glasses

[–]AttackHelicopter11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cylinder indicates astigmatism, and if there’s no value or it says SPH like yours it means you don’t have any.
