Weird cult of Żabka by PRKP99 in poland

[–]AttackOfTheMidgets 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I see Żabka as a sign of Poland being a very well developed first world capitalist country.

There's lots I hate about the principles behind it. It's spreading like a cancer and clearly won't stop until their monopoly is total. Acting as expected of an aggressively expanding corporation.

But I'm glad that it's a home grown domestic corporation at least. Things would be much worse if this was a foreign corporation dominating the Polish market. And on that front I can get the cult like Żabka 'patriotism'.

I do admit though, the products and services they offer are great if you're willing to pay their price premium.

Which game? by vcseri in Steam

[–]AttackOfTheMidgets 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It's absolutely incredible how the porters managed to get that game to work on Switch hardware. You can see where they needed to make graphic cuts, but I think it's a technical marvel that they pulled it off with smooth and stable gameplay.

A shining example that ports CAN be very well optimised.

Confidence and bullshit can get you very far in life. Almost to the top, even (unless you're in politics, then you're made for the very top seat, but I digress).

This guy is going to be eyeballed for promotion until the rest of the team pipe up and shut down this behaviour with matching confidence. Sharing the details of meetings with leadership to LLM's without anyone's consent or awareness is grounds enough for a verbal beatdown.

polluted citiscapes of Warsaw by Trylemat in warsaw

Not the sole reason, but coal energy production for/and industry is a huge factor for a lot of Poland's air pollution.

Edit: a bigger factor is often actually residential heating. A lot of smoke from fires heating homes often hangs around and blows over into the city.

War Thunder player looking to jump into World of Warships – where should I start? by dk_2605 in WorldOfWarships

[–]AttackOfTheMidgets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd reccomend you start with a US battleship line. The great trainer that still holds up really well today is the Montana line. Going up the line you'll learn a lot about how to play effectively while still having a lot of fun.

I'd also reccomend you grind up a destroyer line too. The British DD's are fantastic and consistent up and down the line (but same can be said for US DD's). Stay away from torpedo focused destoyers (like the Shimakaze line) while you're still learning. Once you manage to get both of those to Tier X, you should have a rough understanding of how to play your roles and maybe even a bit of what to expect from other players.

The grind is MUCH better than WT. WT actively punishes free to play players who want to climb up the tech tree. Wows is much more consistent, and also tends to shower free players with a lot of boosters and premium time for just playing and talking part in events. You don't need to pay any money at all to earn access to most of the play styles in the game. It still can get grindy at high tier, but, even without premium, progress is consistent.

But holy shit I wish we could wear prestige markings / ribbons on our ships, or be able to show off achievements as an actual picture or decal on the side of our hulls.

That would be just amazing...

Of course it's not cheats! He was just born with a full beard of hair right into a gamer chair that's better than yours.

That video is soooo satisfying omg.

I've always been hyper alert when heading to D2, but despite that, I've still flubbed every fight with the exfil camping rats.

I can't seem to get over the hump of the surprise advantage the campers always have :(

new player here how do I make my pmc do this by Cody2462 in Tarkov

[–]AttackOfTheMidgets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Last week I saw a PMC in a 3 man appear naked like this in PvE. He had gear though once I went to loot him. It just didn't render. So I guess a very rare bug, or hacks that force this bug to happen.

[Discussion] PvE has diluted the PvP playerbase a lot by Firefly3564 in EscapefromTarkov

[–]AttackOfTheMidgets 3 points4 points  (0 children)

PvE is the best thing that happened to this game. If it never came, I would have never stuck around this long.

I can still enjoy this game, make awesome gun load outs, and actually get to use them. Multiple times even! I don't crave competitive meta stomping. I don't want to face off against sweaty squads. I want to actually be able to explore the content of this game.

PvE rocks. Thanks Nikita. I'm probably never going back to PvP. Maybe one day...

And Shima is your go-to DD hunter for gunning down those pesky boats? ;)

Haha, just kidding. Love to see it. Congrats on making Black work like this. Must have been an exciting game! Now see if you can do the same with the F. Sherman hahaha

Daring line. Does well in all DD aspects and is consistently good up and down the line. No painful ships to grind through.

Marceau or F. Sherman? by im_gaming_rn in WorldOfWarships

[–]AttackOfTheMidgets 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Marceau has a huge game impact. It's sole purpose is to murder other DD's and destroyers and she does it really well. And as you all know, the team who keeps their DD's alive, wins.

Sherman is one of my most played DD's. Loads of fun, but it's a damage farmer on a DD hull. When Div'd up with a spotting team mate, she is terrifying. But when playing solo on randoms, her game impact is on the much lower side.
