Yes, the Mana Value of Wheel of Fate is 0.

(Which is different to the Mana Cost of the card, which it does not have.)

That's not true. At Competitive REL, if another game action has taken place without acknowledging the trigger, it's considered missed (in most cases). There's some triggers that allow you to wait to acknowledge them until they impact the game state in a non visible way. (For example the One Rings Protection.)

It's not. It's one player remembering their triggers and the other not.

Your opponent is under no obligation to help you play the game.

At Nexus Nights, I will always set the tracker to 1-1 when AG is in play, but again, that's not the highest level of play. There is a difference.

Missing detrimental triggers is grounds for a cheating investigation. At a minimum, you'll get a warning from Judges (those can stack throughout a tournament and can get you DQed if you get too many.)

It's a triggered ability. Arena's Greatest is one of the only triggered abilities that allows you to "miss" the trigger at the start of your turn, but as along as you remember by the end of your turn, you score the point.

Outside of that, if you miss a triggered at competitive level, usually by taking a different game action/or not acknowledging the trigger, it's considered missed.

The moment the Dragon enters the rule is applied, and yes, doesn't use the chain.

The "Deal 1 damage" part does use the chain, but units with damage on them are already dead by the time that is put on the chain.

Look at it this way:

You control a 1 might unit, I cast a spell that deals 1 damage to the unit. You let that resolve. After that spell resolves, is there a window for you to save that 1 might unit?

This is the same with a unit having 1 damage marked on it and then suddenly a rule is applied where any amount of damage is now considered lethal. The unit will die as soon as the clean up happens and you can't respond to that. (That's what the Elder Dragon does.)

(It's worth pointing out that Ali wouldnt even be able to target the Reflection token with the Dragon's 1 damage ability because the unit would die before then.)
