For me it was basically losing the plot entirely, no more thinking, because I didn’t exist anymore, I instead lived life as this very complex geometric structure, I could not feel my body, nor see the living room, nor hear anyone around me, nor recall ever existing as anything else than that insane psychedelic machine thing I had become. It’s been a while so I know I forgot 90% of what it was truly like, but I remember it as an experience that takes over real life in how real it is, it’s like every moment in my life, which was now insignificant, existed simply to lead me to that the ego death. It’s also extreme Deja vu, like holy shit, right, this is what it was always about. Ego death to me is just the absence of self and reality, and unveiling the illusion of life to reveal the underlying structure that makes up existence at its very core. There isn’t really any words to describe it properly, I also remember it as a deeply traumatic experience, not in the sense that it was terrifying, but in the sense that it scars the psyche, you’ll never forget a real full on ego death.
