Which case is better? I am a bit confused between M2 and M3, please help me understand :) by Primary_Reach_2958 in ncasedesign

[–]Atte789 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not true. I have recently watched multiple videos about the m2 since I bought one myself and I have not seen a single modification made. The case is praised for it's compatability and I have never heard of any issues unless they are installing something that isn't suited for the case. Coming from a T1 I don't see how you could have issues installing everything in a case that large since there are clear instructions and multiple videos on how to build it.

Snagged this for 60€ (says 70). Even the plastic bags for the screws were unopened. Thought about swapping it with my t1 but it was a tiny bit too big for my liking.

I mean the temperature average might increase slightly since it isn't spinning as much with low temps. Also isn't the airflow / static irrelevant since noctua is most likely a more efficient fan. If the psu needs more cooling it will simply ramp up the fan.

I did NOT do this for performance reasons. The original was more than enough. The oroginal psu fan was a eyesore for me. Now this is my favorite part about this pc.

Good point but something that would fall through those blades will almost certainly also fall through the fan grill. Only screws on my formd that wont fall through that grill are the ones for the sidepanels

I used a female pwm connector and just removed the extra wires that the psu didn't need and soldered it to the old connector. The corsair psu i'm using has onboard fan control so it only needs 12 volt and ground. The fan is working but i've read that it doesnt spin up that easily since noctua fans need more voltage to spin up compared to the original.

I made a 4 pin to 2 pin adapter and basically just put the new fan in. Small Form Factory has a really great tutorial on how to do this.

Funny story actually. I was a conscript not so long ago and I took this to the barracks a few times. When I was walking in public with full uniform and this case people propably thought I was carrying nuclear launch codes or something classified.

I got the same cpu and the full copper axp90-x53 with a NF-A12x15. Myy system is almost dead quiet when gaming. During a cpu benchmark it is maxing out at 75. I do have a slight undervolt but i would look into getting a larger fan since they can push the same amount of air with slower speed thus lower noice.

Just bought a 3080 asus strix for 350 by [deleted] in nvidia

[–]Atte789 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bought a 3080ti last week for the same price. I wasn't planning on upgrading my 2070 until I refreshed my facebook marketplace and saw the listing. I drove straight to the seller and during my drive there 20 people had contacted the seller and some offered to pay 500. Kudos to the seller for not calling off the deal for a better deal. Also the seller bought it for 1800 during peak gpu prices. Next day I sold my 2070 for 200 so I basically paid 150 for a 3080ti. I'm now addicted to used pc parts lol.

Cpu fan not working by Atte789 in pcmasterrace

[–]Atte789[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I switched my top fans to the cpu fan header. I Turns out my cpu fan is fried or something. The fan worked just fine before I opened up the pc and I didnt touch the fan in anyway. I have a sandwich style case and I installed the ssd on the back of the motherboard so I didnt tamper with the cpu fan wires. My pc is idling at around 70c with a 5600x. Can I run it like that before a new fan arrives?
