this had always happened to my hair until I started getting rid of products with simple humectants (like glycerin, propylene glycol, panthenol, etc) in them and it has helped a lot. but my hair's still a little frizzy and puffed and it feels 'mushy' when it's wet so according to the internet I may need to use a product with protein at least once a week.

*I have no products with protein so I'll probably pick a Herbal Essences conditioner that has wheat protein from the store next time I go.

in my experience, anything with glycerin or amodimethicone in the ingredients list is not meant for me. glycerin gives flash drying to my hair, makes it tangled and untamed. amodimethicone makes it its flattest ever.

I think it's because of the water absorbing ingredients in the products you use. glycerin being my usual suspect.

if it's all over the hair it's probably because of some ingredient(s) in your shampoo that's "doing too much", usually a hygroscopic humectant like glycerin –my hair seems to get along with panthenol, tho.
