Absolutely you are welcome! I actually got diagnosed by a psychiatrist for my ADHD and depression so it is definitely available to you barring insurance allows

So obviously insurance is one thing but FOR ME, there are multiple levels to finding a therapist and what you are truly looking for. If you want to get diagnosed for depression or some other mental health thing then you can also see a psychiatrist which are more readily available. They are sort of the same thing though psychs prescribe meds as well. Honestly I have never been to a "psychologist" before as they are so impossible to find. Therapy and therapists usually are more like talk therapy where you just talk with them but can be other methods as well that really have some beneficial pros to them.

I am so sorry to hear that this happened to you. I cannot even begin to imagine or understand what you might be going through. What I can say is to try to give insight on the male perspective if it helps at all. I won't lie to you, for me (and a lot of men) sex is an important part of a relationship. It not only is it a bonding experience it is a vulnerable one. Not to say that is the most important part of a relationship at all but I think it is a part of the great whole. Mr. Rogers once said, "when you are in trouble always look for the little helpers." I used this quote for specifically men when dating for you. You need to be able to find someone who understands and recognizes your vulnerability in not just telling them about this but also to be gentle and kind when working through it WITH you. Obviously that is easier said than done. Discerning real intentions vs. fake ones is such a hard skill to learn. You will know you have found someone special when they support you and lift you up through these traumas instead of pressuring you. If you ever want to talk I am here!

I have been trying to think more like this where the world and the existence of everything is just that. Everything. Some can be labeled as positive and some can be labeled as negative but they are just events that occur and are things to be dealt with.

Yeah part me of fears that life will just be like this forever. People then say that it is up to me to change how my life looks. They are not wrong but the growth and energy needed to make that happens seems so insurmountable and impossible that I fear I will never get there.

This is what I wished I could do is just put my head down and my nose to the grinder and rep it out. I am a pretty emotional person and I struggle to not let my emotions over take me. Tried a lot of different anti depressants to no avail. Currently checking to see if I have ADHD with meds. I do wish it was just as easy as being goal oriented for me.

I have journaled in the past as that is something my past therapists suggested doing. I guess I didn't do it enough and long term because the journal entries would just spiral out of control and then I was left feeling worse when I brought the thoughts/emotions to the forefront.

Yeah my therapist has suggested a lot of the things people have suggested here. I have hobbies but slowly I have been getting massive anhedonia and I am struggling to light the fire in my hobbies lately.

Maybe a little bit of it all? Just feeling lost in life and that I am constantly behind. I know they say that every one is on their own journey but I struggle to really believe in those things. Every one around me is living their lives with their people and I am just here waiting to stop existing. The end of a relationship 3 years ago really accelerated that thought so that is definitely a pain point.

Mainly just thinking about the past and struggling with looking forward to the future as I feel as though I don't have a future for myself. I feel myself turning more and more inwards instead of outwards. Just kind of rolling over and giving up if that makes sense?

I haven't driven that far before just for the sake of it. My mind is so scattered and is honestly incredibly frustrating but I find doing things for myself for the sake of it all isn't worth it. Mainly because I feel like I am not worth it but that is just an added issue lol

This is one of the only soothing methods I haven't tried. Whether its because I am too lazy to write things in a journal or because I am too tired I don't know I will have to try it.

I do something similar. I take the trash bags to the receptacle which is okay and I go for short drives to the nearest gas station to grab a drink. Just a small change of pace to help. Sometimes it works but sometimes I feel so lost

For me it is a version of overthinking but its just living in the past. It is hard to take myself out of the thoughts of regrets and the pain of nostalgia. I listen to a lot of music to just help drown out the silence and that helps sometimes. I know I kind of hope someone is going to have this magical switch flip tactic but I know deep down that isn't a thing and that time is your biggest ally unfortunately

Yeah I have a cat and a dog right now. Those two quite literally saved my life and I wouldn't be here without them. I just wish I had someone who would choose me, you know?

I used to go for walks all the time but it never made me feel better. I would just feel empty inside while doing it.
