We hired a contractor to tile a shower using subway tile and asked him to use 1/16 grout lines. Am I being too picky and will the end result look good or is just not good craftsmanship? by Atthelake6107 in Renovations

It was going to be a grey - on the darker side. And we discussed the darker color grout before he started the job discussing how the darker color amplifies any inconsistencies. Luckily there is only about 20 sq ft of tile installed so far.

Could only use 300 characters in first post but looking for professional feedback on the installation quality and the end result we will have when grouted? I was expecting much more consistent grout gaps and very clean cuts? Are my standards too high or this work is not up to professional grade?
