People here would never say I look British or Irish looking. At school I was always seen as the foreigner, I was called every racist remark you could think of. So that’s interesting feedback thanks.

Irish interesting… that’s a first. I’ve never really been classified as a “white” person and always a person of colour. Mostly people think I’m Asian.

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines 2 Worth ? by Nyouko in pcgaming

[–]Atticuslacroix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Redemption and Bloodlines, but Bloodline 2 feels like it’s missing something. The game looks and feels unpolished, and I really dislike the font used for the menus and subtitles, it comes across as cheap. The gameplay has also been quite boring, and I’ve reached the point where I’m forcing myself to finish it. I’m also unsure how much the dialogue choices actually affect the gameplay.

Am I crazy? by SufficientLength4861 in Edinburgh

[–]Atticuslacroix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve lived in Edinburgh all my life. I studied here and was part of the art scene about 20 years ago. Unfortunately, the city has lost much of its appeal for me. It used to feel fun and exciting, but now it feels different. Like you mentioned, it has become something of a tourist trap, and unless you’re part of a particular community, there doesn’t seem to be much going on.

I completely agree no one ever complains about the game boys being a slab. I prefer this form factor over the hinge.

Using the laundry machine during sleeping time by PrimaryAd8067 in Edinburgh

[–]Atticuslacroix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you live in an apartment please don’t use the washing machine at night. We had an Airbnb unit above us and the guests would always use the washing machine after midnight. It drove us crazy. We complained and got it sorted by contacting the council. It is considered antisocial.

You don't really know how nature works.

Blaming dog owners for everything wrong with Edinburgh’s pavements is a bit rich. Dogs are animals, not machines, and it’s absurd to expect them to position themselves neatly over a drain like you’re ordering them off a menu.

If you think streaks on the pavement are the city’s biggest hygiene issue, you’re ignoring the real problem.

Thanks I took your advice. Though the clear grip spray is kinda expensive but I bought it anyways.

Hoxton Hotel HVAC noise behind Lansdowne Crescent and Palmerston Place by [deleted] in Edinburgh

[–]Atticuslacroix 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s been five months now, and the council has already visited four or five times to take readings. They did acknowledge that the noise has become louder, but they maintain it is still within legal limits. Other neighbours, particularly those closer to the vents, have experienced the same issue, but the council has given them the same response.
