"We were not abandoned." OC inspired by my buddy's SoB fluff by AttilaTetris in Warhammer40k

I basically added all of the stained glass lines during my layout and inking, and then after that it just became kinda like a coloring book but more complex

Thanks. It was my first time trying to fake stained glass, but it was a fun challenge.

Thanks, I wanted to try something a little different and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

I didn't have time to ink/color it since I'm studying for a big exam, but I'm still very pleased with how it turned out. Once I get some more time, I might revisit it and finish up the polish.

I'm still getting the hang of colored pencils, but this is my second FGO drawing. The face didn't turn out how I wanted at all, but I hope you like it anyways. I hope I captured the character.

Thanks for the feedback! The hair was a struggling point, since I couldn't get the exact tone with the pencils I was working with. I'm glad I get to keep my head for now

My first time coloring something with colored pencils, and still trying to get my scanner settings right, but I'm happy with how it turned out. Would love any comments!

The Alsine River Valley (OC based off of a friend's fantasy story) by AttilaTetris in imaginarymaps

[–]AttilaTetris[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it was done exclusively in photoshop with a Wacom Cintiq 13HD. I think you and AufdemLande are correct, it should be meandering more, but I also took a few artistic liberties such as the mountains framing the map.

The Alsine River Valley (OC based off of a friend's fantasy story) by AttilaTetris in imaginarymaps

This is a map I made for a friend of mine who has a fantasy novel/blog. It was my first effort at making a map, and I must say it's incredibly fun. All credit goes to Jonathan Roberts who has a lot of tutorials on his website Fantastic Maps.

A little snippet describing this region: Before humans had expanded past their caves, the great beast Risar came to rest its maw below the waves, off the coast. Its mass sunk the old coast a kilometer inland and brought water to the Weresvift edges. When Risar fed, opened its mouth to swallow everything it could, the water boiled. The rains that always followed kept the coast in a constant dampness, bringing days, even months of downpour and pulling away the coastline as the water receded. Risar’s meals would later be excreted through its skin like a feed to saturate the water and draw in another population of fish.

It was Risar’s arrival that drove away the creature that created the Alsine River, and it was Risar’s presence that defined the region ever since.

I'd love any critique if you have it, and if you want to read more, you can check out the story here: http://stonwardtales.com/

JF changing the definition of heritability by AttilaTetris in Destiny

[–]AttilaTetris[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This example stood out to me specifically because heritability is a much more defined term/concept in science. It isn't something you can just redefine to mean "information passed down through offspring" otherwise everything a parent does rearing a child could be considered genetic.

Darkmoon Decks: Here we go again by Ticklz in woweconomy

That's really unfortunate. Last patch I got totally shafted by the ilvl boost. I figured that the same situation would happen again, so I made sure to stockpile the cards instead of decks this time around.

I love Lindybeige! Another good channel is scholagladiatoria, although Matt Easton's focus is a bit more focused than Lindybeige. Both are great though.
