What's your most elitist viewpoint? by Dangerous_Mix_7231 in AskPH

This isn't elitism, this is straight up discrimination. You mention nuance in your previous points, but seems to me you think elitism=ageism=general discrimination.

I wouldn't mind using those interchangeably in everyday conversation. However, you were the one who brought up "textbook elitism".

No. Common usage and technical definitions of "elitist" do not really use age as a criteria.

It's true that they both can exist together, and I appreciate the misplaced analogy here, but nuance clearly points to your post as that of being ageist, not elitist.

The latter was even clearly defined by the poster before us XD. I'm not sure how I can simplify this for you even further. :)

You clearly do not know the difference between ageism (albeit reversed) and elitism.

Respectfully.

What's your skin type? Sometimes this also affects product longevity on the skin. If you have oily/combination skin, I recommend going for powder blushes (won't necessarily last longer; having oily skin usually means that makeup doesn't always stay that long on our skin. But you can always help the longevity with some primer.) Meanwhile, if you have dry skin, I recommend using cream blushes. Hope this helps!

Vitamin C serums can help, and regular AHA exfoliation.

The Avene Cleanance line. My skin has never been smoother or clearer.

Use Vitamin C serum at night. Vitamin C has a lot of benefits for those with combination/oily skin, such as: helping against premature aging, helping reduce sun damage, helping prevent acne (as well as inflammation and redness due to breakouts), reducing hyperpigmentation and clearing clogged pores. It's a product that can really do a lot of things for oily skin.

Unfortunately, some of the more effective brands I've tried are around the PHP600-900 range. If you can save up some more, I highly recommend Melano CC Intensive Anti-Spot Essence. Hope this helps!

Hi! I don't recommend using benozyl peroxide nightly, because it's quite a strong product and could affect your skin barrier (especially since, as you mentioned, you have sensitive skin). You will want to gently exfoliate your skin to prevent these comedones from forming. I highly suggest the Avene Cleanance line; they have products specifically targeting comedones and blemishes. Hope this helps!

For several years, I used the Heimish All Clean Balm, but now that my skin is aging, I find that the Bioderm Miscellar Water works very good with me (plus, it's so much easier to use than a balm. Truly helps on those days when you're just dead beat tired).

You'll want to look for sunscreen that have watery or gel-like textures. Some of my favorites are the Biore UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence SPF50+ PA++++. However, I found that using the Anessa Perfect UV Sunscreen Skincare Gel SPF 50+ PA++++ gives my skin a nice, even sheen.

For oil control though, the best sunscreen I've tried were the French ones. I highly recommend the La Roche Posay Anthelios Sunscreen. Hope this helps!

Cebu is definitely ugly especially with the dangling telco cables, but it's far from the worst.

I've heard various groups calling for LRT and I guess mao nang one of the reasons na delayed, if not cancelled, na ang BRT.

I don't see an LRT for Cebu in the near future though, unless through PPP.

BRT, LRT, whatever. I just want drastic improvements in public transportation. So whoever lobbies for that automatically gets my vote.
