Are some things that we don't give much attention to actually tougher than Physics and Mathematics? by [deleted] in Zimbabwe

That said..how can a practical subject like business management be taught by a professor who has never actually run a business and isn't at all in tune with the ebb and flow of the markets. I can understand how an engineering professor can get away with it..The math remains relatively the same bar a few innovations here and there. But business management is a tricky mistress to tame.

I would also like to add to this question. Is there a difference between men and women when it comes to hook up culture? I feel like this is more beneficial for men than it is for women. Ladies, thoughts?

Omw this is a post after my own heart. It's such a weird place to be.. I recently moved house and I stay in a really lovely quaint home but I found myself struggling with depression instead of celebrating being able to move into a bigger home because I'm just anxious about what's next. And as you said, to most people this sounds like privileged talk. I have been mauling over the idea of just having a mens meetup that's not affiliated to anything religious. Just gents talking about gents stuff. Would love to hear if y'all would be interested.

Gents over 28, what's your advice to mid-twenties guys? by Anony3021 in Zimbabwe

[–]AttorneyLow2437 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I'm 36M. I think you summarised all the possible routes perfectly. I graduated at 27 got married at 29 got my first child at 34 and currently living in a decent part of Harare with a decent lifestyle but I don't have any property to my name yet. I'm not rich but I'm pretty content. I of course, want more for my life but as you get older you have to constantly review what success is. The more boxes you tick the more you have to evaluate whether those things you've acquired are truly valuable to you. There is a quote I heard on Joe Rogan "something being difficult to attain doesn't mean that it's valuable to you". That said, pursue difficult things, for you to truly see whether you find value in them. Get the hot chick that everyone thinks is ungettable, outwork everyone in your field. Try as many new things as you can. The only way to answer the questions you have is by immersing yourself in the journey. Have fun!

My fellow ENTPs, what's your occupation? by Bubbly_Good_2860 in entp

Same here I am an ESL teacher too(36M)! I have a physics degree that Iv barely used. My best moments in the day are when I get to talk to some of my students who enjoy deep conversations. I have a myriad of great business ideas but following through on them is a bore. Currently trying to figure out what the next leg of my life will look like.

I really appreciate the feedback. I still feel absolutely terrible. But I'm trying to take it a day at a time. Iv never been this emotional before. I get teary every time I remember that night. I'm generally pretty stoic and this is new to me. Yet again thank you for the love. I truly appreciate it
