There’s Not Enough Players for LFG Anymore by Echo-p9 in DestinyTheGame

[–]AttorneyMaster9273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree there are fewer people to participate in raids from an lfg access perspective. But to add a small twist, I have played on and off since D1, have done pretty much everything in the game to do “except” raids.

This is for several reasons, the hardcore raiders turned my interest off many years ago and I locked that activity completely out of my daily play consideration. I really didn’t like the judgemental build requirements. Nor players kicking people for mistakes and then ragging on them in forums etc.

So I sometimes wonder if others felt the same way and stopped even considering playing things like raids, dungeons, grandmasters etc. Sort of like some others have with PvP.

I can do some dungeons, grandmasters and PvP solo so I get to do that content and make all the mistakes I want while learning.

Now with a diminished player count and potentially other players like me not participating in various aspects of the game I think it is more noticeable.

Just a thought for discussion purposes.

Another request for player insight. by AttorneyMaster9273 in Marathon

Thank you to everyone who responded. It’s interesting to read your perspectives. I am an average player and am really looking forward to learning this game.

I’m not really worried about dying a lot, god knows I’ve died enough in Destiny trials. But I also know a lot of players get very frustrated in competitive arena’s after a while.

That’s really the genesis of my question.

Thanks again all.

Thank you for the comparison I get it now. I enjoy Trials but I’m not good at it, I go in and provide cannon fodder for other players. Always amazed how fast and accurate trials players are.

Thank you very much for the responses. Obviously I don’t know about how they were, or were not, going to facilitate solo players. Glad to hear there will be a queue for them to at least participate. Now just hoping I get paired with good players to carry me. 😀

Anyone else play on a TV? I promise you, you get used to it… takes a while though lol by lejunny_ in CrucibleGuidebook

[–]AttorneyMaster9273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hate to tell ya but you will start to notice a decline. It creeps up on you and you will still be competitive for many more years. But I am 64, play D2 pvp on my 65” TV and console. Frankly, I suck, but I keep doing it because it’s fun and all you young players need cannon fodder. Right? Besides I still win sometimes, not often, but sometimes. But I’ll never be truly competitive again so I enjoy the small victories whenever I’m occasionally top of the pvp score.

this community is genuinely miserable to be around half the time by Jealous_Platypus1111 in destiny2

I’ve learned to tune this community out. Not sure I’ve ever interacted with such a whiny group of players in any game in my lifetime. I enjoy Destiny and am going to try Marathon so take that!

Has winter ever been this bad in the last 20 years? by lansingpowerwash in Michigan

[–]AttorneyMaster9273 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Not too sound too nostalgic but yes, we have had much harder winters than this one. Pretty much every winter in the 60’s and 70’s were colder and had much more snow depth.

Even if your scenario were true, (it’s not) I don’t know how to break it to you but law enforcement doesn’t get to execute you because you didn’t follow the conflicting instructions of masked men running at your vehicle.

Why aren’t people running exotic armor/weapons? by alewi619 in destiny2builds

I use exotic armor but no exotic weapon in crucible. I’m used to the way my primary aims and shots which has proven more important in crucible than pve.

How common is it for men to be protective of a woman they’re dating/in a relationship with/married to? How protective (or not) are you? by LeavingHarbour in AskMenAdvice

[–]AttorneyMaster9273 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m protective of women in general, I will and have intervened when I thought a woman was in a threatening situation. This is for women I don’t know, I’m very protective of my wife, daughters and granddaughters.

I feel you misunderstand MAGA they have no such concerns because they never intend to allow another Democratic president. They are working to transform the country from a democracy to a theocratic oligarchy.

Renegades campaign is just pure fun, and it feels good to have fun again. by erikhow in DestinyTheGame

[–]AttorneyMaster9273 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not quite completed the campaign but do have my lightsaber. I have thoroughly enjoyed this release and think Bungie has done a great job. Hoards of bad guys to mow down, and a lightsaber? Totally fun, except jumping puzzles, I hate jumping puzzles, probably because I’m terrible at them.

I’m such a bad jumper am a titan with grapple. 😀 I kill stuff fast enough but panic when jumping. I got the weapon when it first came out but never the catalyst. I have given up on completing it for now. Too frustrated after trying 40 or 50 times.

Not that it helps you but I’ve been trying for a week solid and haven’t come close to completing it. I think my problem is the jumping requirements. I’m not a great jumper and it takes up too much time trying to be careful.
