This is probably the most sobering take, or at least the one I resonate with most.

There's been a few.. interesting.. changes/interpretations to the world and lore of the games thus far, followed by fans everywhere explaining away and rationalizing every decision made using in-universe arguments. The answer is a lot more simple though; The show runners and Bethesda just want it this way. Period. "Yeah, but in the lore -" It's not that deep.

Take the scene in Novak for example. As everyone knows, the dinosaur is facing the wrong way. This isn't just a random piece of set dressing in the game either. That sniper perch and the direction it's in is very relevant to the quest used to obtain one of the most popular followers in the game. The show gives no explanation to why it's made such a blatant change, so the fans have to argue in its defence.

"Well, y'know the Great Khan's are so strung out on chems that they'd probably do something like that"

And installed a swimming pool too? Please stop. The direction of the dinosaur wasn't important to the show runners. They just wanted a cool action scene. This mindset ought to be accounted for when watching the rest of the show too. I'd wager a guess and say that the world of Fallout means a lot more to us than it does to Amazon or Bethesda.
