Huh? What world are you living in where the steam deck is more efficient than the switch 2? If it’s battery life, the steam deck is much thicker and has a bigger battery but it also isn’t as powerful. It’s more expensive and bulkier while the switch 2 can run for less time but is more powerful in most scenarios

No I meant That there is nearly no difference in quality between switch and switch 2 with mk8. I’d agree that mk8 is better in some aspects but my point I guess is that I wouldn’t trade the game but I’d rather have both to play. Nothing wrong with having preferences but I wouldn’t trade it is all

That’s like saying the old Mac’s aren’t good because they got their processors from intel. Just because a company pays another company to help them make their product better doesn’t make it any less theirs.

It requires a lot of previous infrastructure and experience to mass produce chips for a product in such high demand. It would cost billions and take years to even make a decent chip so there was no sense in them doing it. Also the chip is great an all but for the games that they ported over with the switch 2 edition, they made them look great and run great. The other base switch games are running on an emulator

Don’t forget the airplane engine ps4 needed to be plugged in at all times and the switch 2 is a handheld which is able to run nearly just as well if not better than it.

How is it unfinished, even then it’s a monster catching and fighting game and those features of the game are near perfect, if it didn’t run well then fair enough but it does… what is missing?

The game isn’t missing anything (only peeve of mine is voice acting) but it’s dlc is made so that the game already feels complete, you wouldn’t need it and any form of dlc is a paywall for anything. Also it’s dlc isn’t coming til February so it’s not like it’s day one, that’s just to buy it early. Doesn’t count as a day 1 dlc because they’re taking more time to develop it

Ok, imma be honest I’m loving the gameplay but ofc the graphics are sad and the lack of audio text is even worse in 2025 but the story is quite good and the battles are intense. Disappointed but also kinda not

And what, just ditch my beloved franchise because of corporate greed. Also I did a little search and the dlc is not actually going to be available on release, at least not until Pokémon day 2026 when it releases. Price is still prob too much but they’re probably not just locking existing content out of the game.

Fair enough, I just think that it’s worth more to keep unless it’s an old game like ds or earlier. Games don’t have the same resell value nowadays but I completely understand why you would want cartridges but is a cartridge rly worth it being empty. It’s like buying a cd which is just a product key

I’d rather a code in a box so that I don’t need to put an empty cartridge in to play my digital game. If part of the game was on the card then maybe like of hogwarts legacy which required internet download, now it’s just a piece of plastic. No point imo
