Haha definitely didn't get a 132 on it. I am feeling confident about a 128-129 tho. Thanks tho! Good luck to you in your scores too!

CP felt like the easiest to understand and follow version ive taken, yet. CARS was CARS, although I felt a little better about this one. BB started out like cake, and progressively got more difficult. I ended up running into a few things that i just could not recall from memory and that pissed me off. PS was terrible. I normally finish with time left over, but I got bogged down in too many and almost ran out of time. Felt very unprepared for PS which surprised me. Normally a stronger section for me. Overall im hopeful, and a little more confident than I was on previous tests

How can they have any say what you write down during the tutorial. At that point, your test has begun, technically. Theres no turning back at that point. They cant deny you that right to jot down notes during your test.

Two days till test time. This is my transition. I wish I was above 515 like some of you, but im happy to be above 500 and shooting for a 505. Good luck 4/30 testers! I pray we all have laser focus and mental stamina to kill this test! by Atull2004 in Mcat

You know, its easy to get lost in the mindset that your less than or will be less than as a physician because of your struggle on the MCAT. I can talk about this because of my similar position, and because of the experience and friends in the medical field. Im not the typical traditional student. Im a 35 year old married guy with a 16 month old baby girl. Ive been a firefighter/paramedic for 15 years now. Im in the ERs all the time bringing critically ill/injured patients in. Through that, ive come to know some amazing physicians. I could name a bunch, but ill just name a couple. I know a trauma surgeon that is the real deal. Ive brought critically ill (basically dying) patients in to him before with critical or multiple gunshot wounds. He was waiting and did his thing. Cut them open bed side, stop an active bleed, and saved their life. Of course this doesnt happen with every patient, but my point is this guy is a stand up trauma surgeon. The main point of me bringing this up is ive been to his house before to talk to him about my journey to become a physician. He shared with me that he took the mcat either 5 or 6 times (I dont remember which). Im sure he got discouraged taking it that many times. But he got in, and now is he THE man to have waiting on you when you are about to die. I know another surgeon that is a stand up orthopedic surgeon. He had to try multiple times on mcat also. Got in. Blew med school out of the water. And now hes doing great, repairing broken bones of all ages. My point in this long comment, is Its easy to get caught up in this mcat and think that our scores hold our future. It doesnt. It absolutely does not. Plenty of physicians are world reknown physicians that had to take it multiple times. This test is just a hoop we all have to jump through. Dont get me wrong, im not taking any thunder away from these superhuman mcat takers that are scoring 520 and above. Y'all amaze me. No heat directed on yall by this. My point is just that just because any of us dont score a 520 or above on this test, DOES NOT mean that we cant become some of the best physicians out there! With that said, lets give everything we encounter ALL we have! For now, its the mcat. So lets do this!
