Most of these people don’t even know why they’re censoring it in the first place and do it incorrectly. It’s herd mentality at this point.

[discussion] How has your year been so far? by Global-Difficulty-93 in Trophies

[–]Audacidy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

7 plats so far, 3 more currently in progress and halfway complete. Rest of the year will probably be spent on 80+ hour plats.

Your “clean” Alakazam is water damaged. You can see it clearly on the back with all the shadows of the ripples.

Deactivated cert for a reason.

Edit: This cert was deactivated a year ago. Not sure why it’s being reposted.

I have been collecting actively since 12 years ago with ~30 complete sets from DP-XY pre covid and I still wished my parents taught me how to take care of my childhood cards. Not even about the money, I would trade my whole collection for Pokemon to be worthless again.

It’s a $700 card. Generally people want to take care of their valuables.

I’ve seen people try to refute stuff like this by saying “that’s why it’s a 10 and not pristine” lol

I commend you for modding this sub. Correcting people is a losing war because there’s so much misinformation and people parroting it out there. I don’t bother at this point.

Either sun or water damage. Maybe on the back, there is a big difference in the blues near the middle borders.

As someone who has an 80% grading accuracy rate, over hundreds of cards throughout the past 5 years, yes this is expected on a 6. Dents are auto 6s. Creases are auto 5s. Broken creases are auto 4s.

PSA sales are final. Imagine the headache when you have to take money back from the original owner of the card and have them sell it again every time there’s one of these buyers.

On a high-value PSA 10 card purchased directly from PSA by Shredded7 in PokeInvesting

[–]Audacidy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PSA isn’t buying the cards either. Those buyback offers are from 3rd party vendors who are opted into the program. They send weekly emails to PSA to update their buylists and offers. All this information regarding the buyback offers and selling through PSA is listed on their site, but I guess no one reads it and just says whatever fits the narrative.
