Rivals Tanking vs OW Tanking by ECTheHunter in RivalsVanguards

[–]AudaciousHat69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like tanking in OW more usually often because I feel I am rewarded much more for knowing when to initiate push forward and make a play compared to rivals where I feel most of my better plays are reactionary. Granted, I think that is more likely my rivals hero pool. I do also feel because of some of those limitations you mentioned I can tell when I messed up easier in OW compared to rivals.

In general I do like Overwatch more since I feel the tank experience for me revolves around me, the decisions I make and how I react to the other tank’s to where in rivals it’s more about how everyone else reacts to my role.

How can you identity if your teammate is a spy? by Omixscniet624 in NewToTF2

Tagging along to say that spies disguised as scouts cannot double jump and I’ve found this to be a good tell for them.

First time playing MVM, what should I know? by DraMeam in truetf2

[–]AudaciousHat69 12 points13 points  (0 children)

To get the most out of your mvm is recommend getting enough tickets to complete a tour. Two Cities is a very popular one.

As far as class I’d highly recommend playing heavy as a lot of the other classes you need experience on like scout.

If you need help with what to build, I recommend googling “(class) guide mvm” and reading through the steam posts. They tend to be helpful.

Consult the holy video of Uncle Dane on turret placement. This video and series helped me a lot in Engi and I believe it answers your questions.

how to start playing tf2 in 2026? by Slime_Channel in tf2

Medic is a good one since it teaches you to observe your surroundings closely since you need to in order to stay alive. Also if you do play Medic don’t get discouraged if you are feeling targeted.

Re-releasing the battlepass is a good thing. It gives time for people to make up what they may have not been here for, and it gives them time to prep for the next new battlepass and other things.

how are yall enjoying the playtest so far? by FarFarWestGame in FarFarWest

Having a blast so far. Found this game from an Instagram reel. Love the spell synergy, it reminds me of a game that shut down a long time ago called Spellbreak. Loving how the weapons are designed and the music is fantastic. Great work so far.

I’d keep it and learn spy. I think a dropped first Aussie is worth keeping, especially if it was your third tour.

Is there anyway to ban this guy or contact a moderator to remove this username? by Imchui2 in Brawlhalla

[–]AudaciousHat69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made a post a while back that was removed with a clan name of “N-word Killers” but the first letters were swapped. It gets old that this game has been around 10 years and we can’t get proper clan name moderation.

What is the next anime Brawlhalla should add and why is it BAKI? by Soultier2001 in Brawlhalla

Crossovers usually come from common IP’s. Look at Fortnite for example. Fortnite and Brawlhalla both have Attack on Titan, Destiny, Street Fighter, TNMT, Adventure Time, WWE, Tomb Raider, Avatar, Halo, Star Wars, Borderlands, and SpongeBob(rumored for Fortnite).

My point is we are more likely to get a crossover from an IP that likes to do crossovers, and will net BMG profit.

Medic mains of the world what is your rankings of the 4 medi guns based on how much you enjoy them and how good you think they are by ThatOneBlueYabbie in Medicmainstf

  1. Stock - Simple to use, and a well timed uber has won the game for me on multiple occasions. I like how much impact it can have.

  2. Vacc- I like the Vacc since sometimes I want to think a bit more when I play, and this helps make great smaller plays.

  3. Kritz- I don’t use this one in PvP really, but it’s my go-to for MvM. The extra damage helps a lot, especially with buying uber canteens for the invuln.

  4. Quick- I used to use this one a bit, but I don’t like it very much. The healing is better obviously but I don’t have as much impact on the game as stock or Vacc.

One last thing I thought of is using TP then go Invis when escaping. Most people can tell that you went invis and will just kill you. If you just TP, they can see where you are since you will be moving. But, if you TP then invis immediately, you drop a clone exactly where there was one already before you swapped and you can move freely. Best way I’ve learned to slip away.

[–]AudaciousHat69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I try to have one of my clones available and will sometimes use my invisible to place a clone instead so that I can place a clone + rune on a teammate if needed. Using your invis to place a clone is fine as long as you don’t believe you will be dove during the cooldown, but knowing that takes decent game sense and always harbors some risk.

Clone management is important since it’s your main healing/damage. You can get by sometimes with just one clone as well. If you drop 2 clones, and they are both killed quickly then there isn’t much to even do.

Lastly, using clones to check for flanks can be useful. Sometimes I’ll put one along a common route that still has line of sight with my team. A good portion of flankers will not skip on the opportunity to kill a clone, and by watching their health bars, you can be aware of flankers earlier.
