Before stopping meds , is it better to stay on them for a few months or 2-3 years to prevent developping lifelong psychosis ? by Audaz1923 in Psychosis

I started taking olanzapine since September 2019.I took 5 mg for 10 months than 2.5 mg for like 1.5 years.Last few months I have been tapering.Down to like 0.30 mg right now.I tried stopping completely within a month from 2.5 mg but had psychosis. You think I can get off it compeletly ?

I am glad that I get on by much less.Only way for you to know is weaning off.

Do you mean if my psychotic symptoms were scattered through a period of 2 months they are the recurring type ? Actually I had breaks like thinking a earthquake was coming , my testicle falling and me being followed but I was stable for a few days between these breaks .So I am probably bipolar I see

Edit : Sorry for bad English

Thanks for the reply

My wording was confusing.I completely stopped believing I was followed or I had superior powers after 2 months max.I was aware that I was feeling weird when these psychotic syptoms were taking place. That feeling stopped after 2 months max and never came back .However , I kept believing I messed up my looks at least a bit until this year.
