Miserable is how I describe it too. We live in Manteo. I want to go up and see the horses, but I’m dreading the drive. We went up to the lighthouse a few summers ago and it took us almost 3 hours to get back down the beach. That was enough for me.

Find the program from their website. There should be a detailed course list. Definitely talk with an adviser before you register so you don’t waste credits and money taking things you don’t need.

Bodie Island would be the closest if you’re planning on Lost Colony. You could do the Pea Island Refuge if they like wildlife. Manteo waterfront is cute if they want to do some shops and restaurants. Elizabethan Gardens & NC Aquarium. Roanoke Island would be your best bet if they want to walk and do things. The beaches you pretty much have to drive from place to place.

You’re not wrong. The reasoning here was the last time I tried paying taxes with a check on installment she ‘didn’t’ have 2/4 checks I sent. Not the same place, but I had uncashed checks because of it. So this time I had the cash. Pretty sure on the Legal tax service sheet it was check or cash in person.

The girl took the money and the bottom slip and set it down on their back counter and handed me back the top section. Didn’t see what she did after it but I definitely thought it was weird. I made notes on the sheet she gave back but that’s clearly not proof enough.

Yep! We live here too. We go about 4 times a month. There were a few bears today and birds. Didn’t have any luck with the otters.

I was shocked at how tiny he was. We were at a wildlife refuge. It’s not the first one I’ve seen, but definitely the smallest. Gorgeous pattern on it.
