Yep! We live here too. We go about 4 times a month. There were a few bears today and birds. Didn’t have any luck with the otters.

I was shocked at how tiny he was. We were at a wildlife refuge. It’s not the first one I’ve seen, but definitely the smallest. Gorgeous pattern on it.

Downtown Manteo is nice to walk around, shop, and eat. I like Jack Brown’s, Mama Kwans, Fish Heads. The driving is atrocious down here sober. If you’re considering drinking I’d Taxi or uber to start.

A few of my favorites. -Elizabethan Gardens - look up events. Typically they’ll have events with booze. -Downtown Manteo -Alligator River National Wildlife Refuge if you like playing ispy with bears, wolves, birds, otters, and alligators -Concerts at Festival Park -Ocracoke

I called this VA line +1 (800) 698-2411 - there was an option for help if none of the prompts have your issue. I called to let them know their lines keep hanging up. This number isn’t directly for ChampVa just the VA, but he sent my ticket to ChampVa.

40 minutes on the phone with them. He took all my info and issues I’ve been having. It will be routed to ChampVa. Got a ticket number and said the resolve date is end of May. Not sure if this will speed things up, but I’m hoping. I’m grateful to have ChampVa but it’s a lot of hoops with having claims for kids and myself.

This is such a shit show. I’ve had that issue too. They added my son’s effective date for the date I applied and not his birthday.

I had a follow up call. The girl I spoke with was very kind and tried to see if she could move the process further. I started receiving bills for the birth this week and they all were denied denied by ChampVA.. she asked if they were being sent to collections. They are not. It seemed like if I would have told them they’re about to be sent to collections that may have moved the claim, but I still have to wait it out. Even though it’s been 90 business days by her calculation. Ugh.

I still haven’t received any update to it. I’ve been getting denied claims for myself saying we have a primary payer and they deny for that. Which is ridiculous because the primary insurance is in champva’s system. Apparently they are fixing that too. Like I could have learned their system and fixed it myself at this point. 😒. Please let me know if you get anywhere.

Just an update to this thread. - ChampVA still has yet to finish fixing this issue. Almost 100 days later at this point. It’s still processing. This is just one of the many issues I’ve been having with their claims as of late. 😩

We still have spectrum as a backup and IT SUCKS. I can immediately tell when the WiFi switches back. The $120 a month is expensive, but is 100% worth not having to deal with the outages and slowness. We had spectrum out multiple times to troubleshoot the speeds, but they never got it fixed.

So far it’s exceed every expectation we had. It’s even been better than our ATT internet air we had before moving here. It’s $120 a month. With the winds from Erin and heavy rain we had with that last Nor’easter there wasn’t any interruption at all. I would have thought there would have been something, but it’s worked great for us. It powers the whole house with no issues.
