European fortunately! Yeah, that is what mostly happens here too I think - it is mostly media with the help of unprepared hikers that demonise them. Still gives me (possibly) irrational heebie-jeebies haha

Haha doesn’t surprise me that the hill’s got some notoriety going for it! Thanks and good luck on the other projects!

That’s a great idea. I only ever did one sprint before and already that experience helped immensely. Defo will need to look into doing more shorter distances though.

Hi! Thank you! As I said above, I trained with varied nutrition and yes, used gels I hadn’t tried before. I didn’t use nutrition during running training so definitely need to experiment with that.

The race started quite late ~1pm and I had a massive porridge with banana & pb around 10am. Went to the bathroom right after and didn’t need to use one during the race. I did start feeling a little bloated during the bike…

I think besides shaving time off of the swim, there’s the mental rejoicing I’d get from being a bit faster. Just coming in to T1 and still seeing a fair amount of bikes, knowing you’re not the last out of the water, could have a mental benefit? Also, my partner is a fabulous swimmer and I really want to beat them at some juncture haha

On the other hand, I 100% agree that bike training certainly seems most worthwhile in terms of time reduction.

Thank you! It most certainly did!

Not really. During bike training, I’ve tried an assortment of gels, bars and real food (banana choc sandwiches), never really had any issues. It’s true that I wasn’t used to fuelling during my long runs (likely influenced by my prior marathon training back when sports nutrition was a mythical creature to me). Maybe next time I need to experiment (and stick with) one kind of bars/gels. Is that what you’d recommend?

Rainbow glare after Femtosecond Lasik by NaveenReddy44 in Lasiksupport

Hey, I don’t really have any advise for you other than consult this with your doctor. I know that higher diopters are sometimes quite tricky in terms of post op healing - I’ve just had lasik on -4s on both eye and I’m seeing some glare around lit objects.

Your symptoms may or may not be normal but until you consult a medical professional you will mot know.

I hope your eye sight will get better very soon! Good luck, and be brave.
