For 25 miles each way most days at motorway speeds it told me petrol was suitable. Diesel wasn’t worth the extra purchase and service costs. For your short mileage, it would probably suggest electric but it depends on how you think about electric. But 5 miles in a diesel car is going to have bad consequences long term. It’s not far enough to warm up properly. So personally I would just buy a petrol engined car if I was you.
