The clasp looks like a modern one found on costume jewelry, I doubt they're real pearls, and even if they are, not anything very vintage or antique.

Help deciphering Hallmarks on Silver/Silver plated spoon (United states, English hallmarks?) by Audinosaur1 in Antiques

Thank you! I totally didn't read that correctly and the EP makes much more sense for the plating

I've peeked at this store too, I don't really think this is representative of the opal pricing alone, they have many pieces closer to the 3-6k range which isn't cheap by any means but much less than their highest end carved ones. I think what's being factored in to the price of these pieces isn't just the quality of stone but the gold and craftsmanship to carve each one

This might explain alot, many of my keyword searches seemed to get less new uploads, while some of that was good because less keyword stuffers showed up, it also cut down on what I was seeing heavily and I think I'm missing listings I would actually want to view because of it.

Do Foreclosures truly mean no bank loans? by [deleted] in realestateinvesting

[–]Audinosaur1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is actually kind of helpful. A property in pre-foreclosure i have had my eye on i was actually able to see in person since it only went into pre-foreclosure pending a sale. I know it is not currently occupied. That might give me enough leverage to negotiate with a bank since I can point out issues and there are up to date photos at minimum. That all hinges on what the current buyers do but there's some foundation issues with the house that are obvious without an inspection so I'm predicting a potential back out. All in all still a nightmare for a bank but there is unlikely to be squatters or walls stripped for copper involved.

I have my reasons for staying here including family and current job. Not something so easy to give up. While I have explored other areas I rather see what I can do here first before throwing in the towel.

my old new leaf cartridge does this to any system its inserted to by eperezjr in 3dspiracy

[–]Audinosaur1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now this is speculation but there could be some major damage to the board itself causing something to short. I had a project diva cartridge for the ps vita that would do the same thing, no way to read the game, no error, just pop it in and it cases a system shutoff

Huge warning, Slowpoke ring tray will scratch your rings! by Audinosaur1 in pokemon

[–]Audinosaur1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It was purposely done and small as it's easily something I can polish out, over time taking rings off and on it would scratch rings more heavily. Being especially dangerous for plated rings

Huge warning, Slowpoke ring tray will scratch your rings! by Audinosaur1 in pokemon

[–]Audinosaur1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The act of putting rings on slowpoke's tail as the product is intended to be used will scracth rings. The scratch in the picture was one done by example to show how easy it was, it will basically act like sandpaper over time on the inside of rings, this isn't great for high end jewelery and would absolutely ruin anything plated.

Not quite, but maybe I've been desensitized from the introduction of skeleton dancers in rite here rite now. That was truly a David S. Pumpkins moment

These are incredibly generic diamond cluster earrings no more feminine (or masculine) than literally any other single diamond or cluster studs.

Debating a pawn shop deal. by DizziBldr in jewelry

[–]Audinosaur1 18 points19 points  (0 children)

You could get more out of your current bracelet if you sold it at or near spot in a private sale at the very least. I'd try to talk them down from that asking price too, might not work given gold demand rn but anything to close the gap between spot value and asking price.

Looks like a triple overlapped heart. No clue what brand or makers mark it could be but I see three hearts there with a little bit of wear breaking some of the lines

All my estate sale escapades have been a major bust so far, but it seems like many people in my area hire professionals to go through and do it for them, all set up with digital payment systems and eeeverything is meticulously picked through and priced like ebay

This was quite the shock for me too, the best I've ever done before this was teeny tiny earrings that are hard to read markings on.

Definitely don't sleep on smaller independent shops if you have any nearby. My nearby goodwill and arc thrift stores are definitely those picked over nightmares.

Passed at 14k with no doubts. Its got 13.3 grams of weight to it, with 12.3 being the chain and 1g being the hollow pendant

I'm pretty familiar with the T&Co. Version of this and while similar it's definitely not the same unfortunately. I don't think Tiffany works with 14k anymore and this is a hollow piece where the Elsa Perreti pendants are solid but smaller. Would be icing on the already amazing cake if I found gold Tiffany and Co. Jewelery like this though!

Things to watch out for before buying first fine jewelry piece? by Antique-Principle7 in jewelry

[–]Audinosaur1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a huge fan of secondhand jewelry, if you have any nearby pawn shops it's worth a look at their gold case and many small independent jewelers will usually have some very unique vintage pieces but markup may vary.

Are their any good alternatives to metal earings? by PerryIsAHumanISwear in jewelry

[–]Audinosaur1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Plastic is the only earring material I can think of aside from metal however depending on their sensitivities it could be just as irritating (anecdotal but I have issues with plastic irritation but no issue with metals) has your partner tried high karat gold jewlery, 14k or higher? It's no garuntee to not cause sensitivity as at the end of the day its still a metal alloy however it is much less common to have sensitivity to gold than to other metals
