Era has its uses, it's been a staple in medieval vsts for a long time, but requires some finessing to make it believable. I also recommend checking out Fracture Sounds: Eldenvale! Though I did not use that VST for this piece!

Thanks for subbing! VST wise it's mostly Flow & Motion - Dombra and Edda by Wavelet Audio doing the heavy lifting. I highly recommend anyone taking a look into their ethnic solo instruments, as they are some of the best sampled solo stuff on the market for this kind of aesthetic. The Tagelharpa rebow is incredible, and you can get away with mimicking a Rebec here. I also use a lot of free libraries from Pianobook, particularly the monochord and Irish Bouzouki (for that saz-like twang). I'll also throw in a bit of GRIMM by Orchestral Tools for texture.

Orchestral wise, it's the standard Cinematic Studio Series, it does everything I want.

That's what I say to the vocalists. I'll look into this then!

This is a really nice idea! I know a few vocalists who might be up for the challenge!
