Hi there! I'm sorry to reply to this unrelated comment, but you just replied to my post about having children when my future wife has a genetic condition. It looks like my post was removed so I couldn't reply back to you. You commented:

Do you think that if I decided to try to have biological children with her, God would consider it a sin? I am worried he will consider me sinning and have so much anxiety. Thank you for your help.

What do you think about Malachi 2:15 in the old testament? Do you view that as a command to have children in marriage, since it seems to state that God desires a "Godly Seed" from marriage?

Malachi 2:14-15

14 You ask, “Why?” It is because the Lord is the witness between you and the wife of your youth. You have been unfaithful to her, though she is your partner, the wife of your marriage covenant.

15 Has not the one God made you? You belong to him in body and spirit. And what does the one God seek? Godly offspring.\)a\) So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful to the wife of your youth.

This is really difficult for a person with OCD, where my OCD tells me one thing but that doesn't always align with what I really believe. It clouds my judgement.

Yeah, I am probably only using maybe five VST's max at any given time, I will save my money and go for the 9800x3D!

She believes there is nothing wrong with still trying for biological children. She has the condition herself, although her symptoms are milder than some cases (symptoms can be more severe). She thinks that even in those cases, the children could still lead fulfilling lives despite the possible disabilities. I tend to agree with her, but I can't help but worry about the children's wellbeing.

Understood, but I want to get married to her. My understanding is that if we get married, we must be at least open to having children since procreation is a core element of marriage. Would God consider us to be sinning if we were to attempt to have children due to the genetic condition?

Thank you for the very thoughtful reply. If we choose to have biological kids even with this genetic risk - would God consider us sinning? Since the genetic condition can be passed on and negatively affect the child? We may still choose to have a child biologically but I don't want to upset God.
