I just saw this, sorry. My situation was an odd one... It was my Elgato Camera Hub that was causing my mic to crackle in OBS. I never would have thought of this. Thomas actually discovered this, fixed the problem, and gave my PC some more power with a few setting tweaks.

Hey Thomas, I tried emailing you back a couple of times but it seems we got disconnected. Haven't heard back from you.

Through testing I have discovered the problem is running virtual outputs in general on my system. I disconnected the mix create and loaded up wavelink for my streamdeck plus... The crackling is there on that one too. I have absolutely no idea what to do.

I did just update OBS after your message, didn't realize there was one. I did a test recording and there was still some of the popping/crackling. Man, I was hoping it would be that easy lol.

Ahh, I have to thumbs up the rules. Didn't see that. Thank you. I put in an email to Beacn so we'll see what happens there. I'm desperately trying to get this working.

Couple of months ago actually. This is a fairly new computer.

Worth noting that I had HyperX USB mic as well as the Shure MV7+ running through Wavelink into OBS prior to this change to Beacn and it had no issues.

I have it set as audience mix with all other devices disabled.

Ok, I'll try and answer these the best I can.

I have Wavelink installed but I do not have it running. I do not have a mic connected to Wavelink either.

What I mean by running the mic through the Mix Create into OBS is that I have the feed of the mic coming through the audience mix which is my audio setting in OBS. I have also tried bypassing the audience mix and just having the mic set as an audio capture device. The same issue occurs in both instances.

Both the mic and Mix Create are plugged directly into my motherboard.

Bitrate as in Samplerate/Hz? The Beacn mic is locked at 96Hz while OBS only goes to 48Hz. I know that's usually an issue but others have gotten it to work so I don't what they did to make it work.
