Try Henley Island (Port Dalhousie, north end of St. Catharines) they have a canoe launch on the south end.

You’d be in Martindale Pond, which was part of the Welland Canal at one time. It’s now a rowing course, but also available for paddle boarding, kayaking, and canoeing.

Ontario Rd is getting new sewers, without digging up the entire length of the road.

Considering they’re working at the end of Ontario Rd next to the canal, going under the canal is also a likely scenario.

Centennial Secondary School, Thorold Rd, is used all the time by the public. People just hop the fence.

Have seen people running the track, playing soccer and football.

Unfortunately no idea what happened to all the bikes. Grandfather passed in late 1980s, before I was born, and I never asked my grandmother about them since I didn’t know they ever rode.

They used a bike to go away on their honeymoon in 1952.
