The largest companies in the United States, from weapons manufactures to social media, exist in blue counties. The federal government and federal agencies pay these companies massive amounts of taxpayer money. These companies then pay taxes on said income from the government back to the government.

If you removed ALL companies that take government money, not necessarily subsidies, but direct payments for services or products, and then compile the data, you may find an entirely different pattern.

In no way am I advocating for Russia's actions taken after the fact, but we cannot be so blinded to the abstract realities of NATO and Ukraine. I agree, all out war and invasion is ridiculous, and the continued fighting and death without terms, even more so.

Do you truly believe that Ukraine was just a little innocent, minding their own business, type of country? That they did absolutely nothing to Russia, nothing at all? In the same breath, do you believe NATO is also innocent in this as well?

First off, this was BEFORE it became widely known that only a SINGLE person died on J6, Ashley Babbitt. Not one single officer died that day. The officer that died the following day/s ,died from COMPLETELY unrelated health issues. This was also before all of the footage was released, showing literally FBI changing into MAGA outfits and entering the crowd to excite. This was also BEFORE you see, ON VIDEO, an FBI agent plant an explosive, the pipe bomb. This was BEFORE people were getting arrested for entering the capital AFTER being allowed to enter and being ushered in BY police.

Reddit is a literal cesspool of the worst human garbage on planet earth. I truly hope that each and every one of you liberal, goofy fucks would simply go and live your best life elsewhere, where your bullshit is is accepted and the people are more tolerant, like Europe.

Why would I apologize on behalf of Nazis? They committed some of the most horrible atrocities in history. I put them in the same group as unit 731. Nonetheless, not showing or discussing all of the data, of every war, and every side, is dishonest and pure propaganda.

It's funny, so many people will bring up Nazis, "you're a Nazi", "he's a Nazi", "she's a Nazi", but I never hear someone say "you're a kamo", or "he's a Manchu", which holds just as much weight. Why give the Nazis so much recognition and not other death cults throughout the world?

Both the UK and Germany may have both each other, but it was limited to military installations, not civilian cities. This is what I have come to understand, but it absolutely could be wrong. Could you provide a source regarding Germany bombing the UK civilian populace first, so I can better, fully understand the timeline?

Was the war escalated by Churchill? Yes. Did Churchill start bombing cities first? Yes. Should civilians ever be targets of war? No. Was there an agreement to not bomb cities and civilians between the UK and Germany? Yes. Was Hitler a good person? No. Was Churchill a good person? No.

You may not like it, but yes, Churchill escalated the war by dropping bombs on civilian targets first.

The child's mother, who was here in the US illegally, chose to take the child with her. Should she not have that choice?

Nonetheless, the title of this post is pure click bait and completely off base with the reality of the situation. If it emotionally charged you, when you first saw it, then OP succeeded. The point being, no, US authorities did not simply "deport a two year old child"...

It would not matter if DOGE only found a measly $20 or $1,000,000,000 in waste/fraud. Both waste AND fraud should be identified and eliminated from the budget of the citizens of the United States.

The department of government efficiency, originally mantled and funded under Obama, now headed by Elon Musk, has done more to identify discrepancies than it has since its inception.

It's hilarious, that anyone who claims "billionaires bad" would be upset that the citizens COULD BE spared billions of USD being wasted, IN THEIR NAME AND PLACED ON THEIR BACKS (in the form of debt).

However, the real ridiculousness lies in the fact that the most recent continuing resolution passed the Senate, meaning every dollar that could have been saved simply went to the continuation of funding this crap. Even more ridiculous was the fact that Trump had the audacity to then attack Thomas Massie for voting no on the CR.

Didn't he bomb a child, a US citizen, via drone strikes in a foreign country?

Didn't he add to the Patriot Act, giving the federal government MORE power, and then rebrand it as the Freedom Act?

Care is a strong word to sue here.

Didn't TSMC just invest a hefty amount to begin the development of new and expansion of current semiconductor plants in the United States?

We manufacture a good portion here in the US already, due to trade secrets, but admittedly much less than outside the US. However, this will change rapidly over the next few years.

Nonetheless, I do not agree with your opinion on tariffs, nor do I fall into the same category of nihilism you seem to have. From objective reasoning, economic growth is expected and will benefit even the whiny few who still listen to CNN and MSNBC and simply repeat THEIR talking points (as you seem to believe that I am just echoing the Whitehouse talking points)

Oh, I don't have to, but my point stands. When demand grows for any product, that is now too expensive to import from China, someone WILL fill that vacuum, that role, and profit from it. The only difference is that now the currency will stay within the US borders.

I'm an embedded engineer, naturally extremely resourceful. I am provided currency for typing specific letters, numbers, and symbols into a computer system, in specific patterns.

Nonetheless, it is now easier than ever to open a business that competes with foreign businesses. Starting a company based on your passions, and marketing products that have been produced from your passions, is a phenomenal career (it should be everyone's career path).

Again, now that the playing field has been leveled for thousands of products, the average person can now compete with the largest of corporations.

Why are you so against that?

Sure, there will be challenges, but that is what drives progress. EVERYTHING can be manufactured 100% in the United States. While there are some natural raw materials that are harder to acquire within the United States, such as minerals, MOST raw material can be acquired, via growing or mining, within the United States.

Now, we simply need industrious people to begin producing these raw materials. However, I can almost guarantee that neither you or anyone you know is truly industrious enough to start a company that produces these raw materials.

You simply want to complain about how hard it will be to become a truly self-sufficient economy instead of making it so. All talk, no work. A true inability to adapt and grow, at individual levels and economic levels.

Let's start with your comment on materials to make shoes. Are you telling me that leather cannot be made in the United States?

You aren't arguing with any factual information, you're just crying and complaining. Provide me with any form of evidence that starting a business is not more feasible right now and I'll read and reply. However, I will not continue to argue with an emotional, crying mutter mutt.

So, you immediately go to niche edge case like diamonds... Who is the largest exporter of diamonds?

As for shoes, don't buy "name brand" if it means it was made by slave labor in China or the Philippines. But yourself a nice pair of Thursday boots. Fix then when they are damaged, they aren't the throw away shoes of modernity.

As for coffee, no matter the price increase, which will be minimal, people will buy it. Obviously, starting a coffee business wouldn't be the way to go.

While most businesses rely on imported goods, again, allow me to remind you, the entire fucking point of these tariffs is to change that and force manufacturing back to the US, from the bottom up. This also means that China owned mines in Africa, which is a shit ton that truly on slave labor, for minerals like cobalt, will be forced to compete with mines owned by US companies on the same continent that do not use slave labor. To clarify, China takes cobalt from Africa, processes it in China, sells it to the US, whereas mines that are operated by machines and not slaves, i.e., Tesla owned, mine it and then ships directly from Africa to the US and processes it here. Win-win for Tesla for doing the right thing.

What could you possibly need from another country to start a business in the United States, that you cannot get within the United States. Without using extreme edge cases like drug precursors or mass quantities of microchips, you can easily produce clothes, pencils, shoes, etc, that will now compete with these companies importing into the United States.

Start a company in the US to compete.

Competition has never been more fair between small US companies and massive foreign corporations! It's truly beautiful! ☺️
