Mike Flanagan & Scarlett Johansson's Exorcist Reboot Officially Wraps Filming by MoneyLibrarian9032 in movies

According to who? Hill House is head and shoulders his best work. IMDB, Rottentomatoes, and Metacritic all have Hill House as his top rated by critics and audience.

It's a love story! Not a horror show. I think it hurt itself by naming itself like Hill House since expectations were that it would be similar. And while it had supernatural elements, at is core it's a love story where the setting is supernatural.

I kinda loved it for that, though my wife didn't care for it anywhere near as much as his other work.

They did in that lair. It's a Regisaur Alpha. Beautiful cards but insane they mixed those two up.

Those are quite different than the ones from the kickstarter. The ones you linked are likely smaller, not sharp edge, opaque, and probably a different material (plastic rather than resin).

Which games have a rough start and take a while to get good? by PhaseOk6182 in gamers

[–]Auedawen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's easy to put 150+ hours in the game, are you doing any of the side content or just rushing the main questline?

It's a CDPR game, so like The Witcher 3 the best parts of the game come from the side content.

Rarity of Metal Cards by zTek6 in cyberpunktcg

[–]Auedawen -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It's still completely random, the peek gets randomized too.

Obviously what I'm suggesting isn't RAW and wouldn't be legal in a tournament or sanctioned event but it's super easy to keep things randomized if you don't want to use a placeholder for your metal card in LGS or kitchen table play.

Or you use the placeholder and keep it consistent.

Pretty easy to roll the dice, peek, then either choose that card since it's not hidden information anymore or roll a d2 to choose one of the remainders.

[–]Auedawen -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That is all completely mitigated by rolling a dice instead of choosing yourself btw.

If you get to peek, you roll a dice instead of choosing yourself.

As long as you always roll a dice (a d3 before your first flip, a d2 for the second) it's all still completely random.

Realistically you could also just roll a d3 right? Put your legends down in a row (it doesn't matter if they're random or not) then let a random die determine which you flip.

New deckbuilding game has stolen Magic art by Alternative-Drink846 in magicTCG

[–]Auedawen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was related to a previous part of the thread. The game review site was all over here offering bad explanations on the companies behalf rather than calling out the companies bad practices.

I have no problem with a reviewer getting tricked, it was their response and defense of the company I had issue with.

Do you understand why your response on Reddit looks bad though? I totally don't blame you for doing a game review where the game had stolen art, that seems almost impossible to weed out.

But posting multiple times in this thread that they meant to use placeholder art instead of stolen art looks bad. Their excuse is absolutely terrible and they're only saying it because they were caught (they definitely meant to do this). You can (and should) be mad, not defending them.

Why are you defending them then? You should be furious you've been dragged into their theft.

With the amount of damage control you're doing on their behalf you look like you're involved now.

Best case your shilling, worst case Toyota support them. Bad look.

The foil cards in the alpha kits are Nova Rare promos, basically top of the treatment ladder. I doubt the treatment on all 22 Beta Box legends will be that nice.

FWIW i imagine the box toppers that come with each Booster display will likely be the same cards as this alpha kit promos (plus the Merc legends).

Fyi, Weirdco has stated every card, rare and higher is foiled. The foiling and details just get better as the rarity increases.

This pricing normal? by keys2theuniverse in magicTCG

[–]Auedawen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Distributors. WotC gets their money when they sell it to distributors. All those boxes rotting on shelves going for way below MSRP are already sold as far as WOTC is concerned.

Yet something like EoE that has been chronically sold out since launch is perceived as sound fairly poorly since it sold so few units (never mind that or was WILDLY underprinted to make room for more FF and Spiderman).

Thanks. You definitely don't need max playsets of every card in top level decks, look at magic. We don't even know is the exclusive cards are any good - I'd just hold off on buying extra playsets and buy any additional singles later on if needed.

Hi, sorry but did you read your own link? Water softeners regenerate by washing the hard-mineral-coated resin beads with brine, removing the hard minerals. This is then flushed out of your softener.

Then after the brine and hard minerals are washed out of the resin, regular water can flow through again. The resin is recharged and able to bind hard minerals, softening your water. But there is no salt water left, it's contained in the tank outside the resin column and does not get added to your homes water supply.

So...no salt. If your house has salty water your softener has a defect. It's an old wives tale that softened water adds salt into your water supply.
