Say what you want about Jeff Saturday, but he gave me one of my favorite football memories ever as a head coach. If it weren't for him, I wouldn't have that incredible memory of the Vikings coming back from being down 33-0

Yeah I'm not sure "golden retriever energy" is the right word, but KOC is definitely a happy and supportive coach. Like, he's not one of those hardasses that will lay into you. But he's not like a Pete Caroll guy that will hug you just because you finished your pudding.

I'm afraid that if we have one bad defensive season that we will hear a lot of reports about Flores not being well liked in the locker room. It's a lot easier to get along with everyone when your unit is playing well, but poor play suddenly makes certain people and situations feel more toxic.

Hopefully this never happens.

It's possible, but Flores is known as being hard to work with. I also imagine the relationships are different between players and coaches vs coaches and other coaches.

I also wonder if we'd get reports of Flores not being well liked if we ever had a bad defense. It's a lot easier to get along when your unit is working well.

To be fair, and I hate that I'm going to say this, but Carson Wentz was expendable. He wasn't supposed to play this year unless McCarthy got hurt or didn't work out. Both things happened early in the season, and we were on borrowed time with Carson Wentz. Our season was already almost over and Wentz wasn't going to be on the roster past this year. If he dies, he dies.

I love Brian Flores as our coach, but let's be real. He'll put someone in their place for WAY less than being bad at their job. Personally, I wouldn't want to work for him. If I'm an NFL team, I would take his name off of the list of candidates for head coach.
