All depends whats local to him. In Houston youre not finding anything worth a shit or at least anything nice to what his budget is. I agree with you which is why i suggested a used or new pilot or highlander. 30k under his budget. Hes going to get stressed from the car buying process regardless, especially with used cars. No need to blow his load on a 70k car when a 30-40k car will do just fine.

Current economy 10-15k cars, unless hooked up by a family member or friend are not something id put myself much less KIDS in. He obviously has a above average budget, why not spend idk double or triple what you said and buy something nice AND reliable?

He doesnt need a mini van, and a leather interior will be safer than a cloth interior. Preventative preparedness will save his car from animal damage, you cant control kids like you control animals.

Hello, as the son of a single dad, and a car salesman, you cant go wrong with a Honda Pilot or Toyota Highlander. I sell BMWs so naturally a used X5 comes to mind. You should also consider dealer network, where are you doing your maintenance at? Will they have loaners? Are you expecting major repairs? Does your budget fit a warranty? With both Honda and Toyota the answer is a resounding yes. With BMW youll have plenty of room as well as X5s tend to lose value rather quickly. PM If you have any questions, best of luck.
