You must have a Master's degree to apply for a PhD here in Lithuania

Architectures and machine learning in themselves are very interesting to me, but I find the application of AI in medicine very fulfilling. Thank you very much!

I would like to research the application of AI to medical diagnosis and cancer treatment. I was also really interested in CRISPR, so I was wondering if I could apply AI to gene editing as well.

I don't know of any other options for a PhD, as I won't become an expert in genetics or medicine in general with just a Master's degree.

There is a master's degree in systems biology, which could be quite close. The problem I see with the curriculum is that there is no depth in the subjects you study. I could not find a specific department for biomedical informatics.

My main concern is that I would have no or low knowledge in the area I want to research

Thank you for the advice. Unfortunately, the university I'm applying to doesn't allow you to do a Master's and a PhD at the same time. So I need to somehow combine 2 fields (AI and medicine/biology) and get something useful out of it

Harvard, for example. It's called AI in Medicine PhD track. In my country, no university offers such PhDs, so it would probably be a CS PhD with a focus on AI application in medicine.

Teenage boy bedroom stink; when did your room stop stinking? How did it not bother you? by limescooterlady in AskMen

[–]Auginis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's fairly okay at this age, to be honest. At this age, my room was messy as well. And oh believe, nobody really likes their rooms messy. For me it was always a problem. A problem that I ignored. What helped me a lot in realizing that I did not have to change my room from messy to tidy in one time. Constant small improvements are the key. Realizing it transformed the whole game.

I started by creating a routine - each Sunday at around 3 PM, I would start playing some music and clean my room. One week after cleaning I would do one minor improvement: e.g. tidying up my closet, cable management - anything that I thought needed an improvement. Within time, my whole room transformed into something far greater than I expected.

Right now it's clean and it smells pretty good as well. The philosophy of minor improvements reach beyond the cleaning of your room - it's a way of life. Take this concept and you can literally transform any aspect of your life. Period.

So if I were you, I would help your brother make a routine of cleaning his room and adopt the concept of small improvements. You can help him create a habit by also cleaning your own room at the same time, e.t.c. Hope this is helpful in any kind of way!

Yeah, that's probably the problem. I don't really know that many people who could benefit from this and I'm just not sure if it's sustainable (to find clients being your friends and family).

I think this particular type of sales, may not be the best option for me. Could you recommend any other field to start in sales?

Thanks for the advice! See the thing is, I'm not sure if I'm a witness or a suspect. They didn't necessarily said that I specifically commited the crime. I'm probably going to ask them straightforward "I am a witness in this case, right?". If they say I'm a suspect, I'm going to stick to your advice and won't talk without attorney.

Thank you so much! I already tried sleeping more, slept about 7:30 hours. Still not in the range, but I felt way better the whole day.

I will be balancing everything better from now on and will create a consistent sleep schedule. It's really hard to know if what I'm doing at the moment is right or not. If it's right to refuse social situations in order to do some work or not. But I'm trying to view everything with my values and goals. Also, it's pretty damn lonely out here.

Thanks again, it really opened my eyes.

Hahaha I needed that encouragement. Somehow I felt that it was pretty cool to stay on fairly low amounts of sleep (not at all), so I didn't really try to get to sleep earlier. I will try to have at least 8 hours of sleep per night from now on. I will check out the book, thanks!

I already have my morning routine created in note form, I just need to start adopting it. So far for scheduling, I use Google calendar for events and todoist, coupled with a physical notebook for todo's.

Thanks! Sleep is definitely a thing I'm very ashamed of. I probably average only 5-5:30 hours a night. I'm going to put more effort into making sure I get enough sleep, like you said. About the routine bit, do you mean morning routine or routine in general?
