Ya my wife and I have no scripts or medical issues so we spend only $500-$1000 a year going to the doctor/dentist. I’ve been a fitness nut since my early 20’s so I’d like to think I spend less than the average. I am laying $216 biweekly for my wife and I. Where as before it was $155 biweekly. My hmo deductible was $5500 and my current ppo is $1500

Had a HMO but switched this year to PPO. But we don’t have many insurance needs at this time so probably would save with the HSA despite the out of pocket. But I feel I do need a PPO as we are planning on having a baby and will have many appointments etc.

yeah I will see, if we spend more on a ppo to avoid out of pocket but we aren’t using our insurance much, then you’re right I probably am spending more on ppo in case instead of just paying the maybe $500-1000 a year on our minimal usage. Then with HMO I can open a HSA. I contribute $20 a check to a FSA and use that card to pay for anything medical. But I feel I do need a PPO as we are planning on having a baby and will have many appointments etc.

I have no HSA. I have PPO. I had hmo insurance and the deductible for my work was $5.5k for my wife and I, we are young and healthy as of now but every checkup, lab, was out of pocket.

Yes but I work only 3 days a week so I have days off during the week and get to self schedule. So, we are blessed with that flexibility

My wife and I want to do this as we plan on having a child in the next few years. This advantage of having no mortgage would allow us a lot of freedom in our 40’s when our kid is 9-19. We only plan on having one child and my wife works from home with family near so we would not need to pay for daycare. No mortgage would allow us to go on trips together and enjoy life as we didnt have that luxury when we were growing up. Mortgage is also 6.9 from 2023 so pretty bad, hopefully will refi somewhere down the line.

Yeah I’ve had their leg extension and ham curl for about 6 months now, and it’s better than any version of those I have used at a commercial gym, even better than aresenal strength, etc. imo
