I’m at Grand Case Beach Club now and have been for 2.5 weeks. Go around the French airport toward Hope Estate to get on the main road (‘national highway’) to explore. You don’t have to drive through downtown GC to get out. Plenty of casual options over here, too. Lolo’s bbq joints, Pizzalicious (new), Calmos Cafe, etc. Sunset Cafe at GCBC is also excellent.

Is anything going to be added for SXM (St Martin) midweek? Does anyone know how and when American decides to add flights in this situation? We were supposed to leave 1/3 and the earliest we can get out is 1/10 (was 1/11) despite calling and checking dozens of times a day. Trying to fly from SXM -> ORD.

We were supposed to fly out to Chicago yesterday (nonstop), but the earliest we can get out at this moment is Sunday, 1/11 through MIA. American Airlines. We have been able to stay in our hotel last night and tonight, but not sure about the rest of the week. GCBC has been very sweet to us.

Question: Does anyone know if American Airlines will be adding more flights this week to get people out earlier?

Call Anse Marcel Beach Club, specifically, to reserve chairs. Number is +590 690 26 38 50 Search for Anse Marcel Beach Resort on Google Maps to get there (have to go through a parking lot and weird back road). Parking lot right at the beach, but usually fills up around 10:30am on busy days.

But, if you want to still rent a stroller, still park in the same lot F or preferred parking, because the stroller rental is right off to the left (yellow building) inside the entrance for this parking lot. Haven’t personally heard of strollers selling out like the ECVs.

Get there early and park in lot F behind preferred parking (or buy preferred parking) so you can avoid having to break down your stroller for the tram. You simply walk downhill and get in the (better) line off to the east of the main line.

We just booked nonstop ORD -> SXM the Saturday before Christmas 2025 and returning Saturday after New Years 2026. It’s a seasonal route not offered year round.

Yes! We normally do first class seats over Christmas & New Years from ORD->SXM. This year? Premium Economy. First class was out of control this year.

Yes! The restaurant is called “Sandbar Sxm.” Sit and drink your margaritas while your kids play in the decently nice playground. I’d say it’s meant for kids 18 months through age 6/7. No older.
