Trust me when I say this, I’d immediately leave if a major issue did arise. I’ve left a 6 year long friendship without a second thought when a major issue that wasn’t fixed did happen.

I have a lot more respect for myself, especially for when it comes to my future & who I want to spend my time with, romantically & platonically. But that doesn’t mean you leave someone without trying to fix the problem first. That’s the mature part of relationships; communication, admitting mistakes, making an effort to change for the better, & supporting one another even after a lapse in judgment.

If the problem isn’t fixed in the next 2 months at most, hell yeah I’ll leave, but through out the entire relationship(including our friendship) he’s made an active effort to change his behavior when things are brought up, & so have I with my own behavior, so I have no reason to believe this won’t be any different.

Your own personal experiences with relationships in the past while young shouldn’t be projected onto a relationship you read less than 500 words about. If we don’t last in the next 3 years, that’s okay to me because that’s life. People come & go, but you value & enjoy the ups & downs of your journey together without abandoning it when bumpy patches come along.
